Welcome to JUL Shadow Yoshi, what kind of Mario site are you making there might I ask? There was nice little Mario fan community I was a part off forever ago called Donutplains.net. The chaps there were all nice people and it was generally quite a nice place to hand out and talk about stuff relating to whatever new Nintendo games (and mostly Mario games) was coming out. Unfortunately though the site suffered from admin troubles and the community slowly fizzed out until it was decided that it wasn't worth keeping the site anymore. It's a shame as well since it was one of the nicer little communities out there (which can be pretty hard to come by in this day and age on the internet). I'm certainly interested in what kind of Mario site you have planned though  ____________________

@Acey: Yes you may, that name sounds pretty cool. @Vinny Claus: I'm making a general purpose Mario website, with verbose info on games and stuff like that. It's also planned to have (or at least support) a good fan following, much like that of Lemmy's Land and Toad's Castle. I love little communities, especially since most of them are very tight-knit. I've heard of/seen/even registered at Donut Plains but when I finally got around to making some posts there the site was gone. It sucks, really, Mario communities are starting to become like that. I'll PM you with some more details. @dotUser: Thanks. 
@FieryIce: Back in June 2010 I got into romhacking, and many times I would stumble across acmlm's (many) boards and used Zophar's a good amount. I can't remember how I originally found this place, but it had something to do with a combination of FuSoYa's Niche, SMWCentral, and possibly TCRF and Badnik? I have no idea, but I'm here! |
