Here is a question. How does an article become featured? What is required? Is it decided by the admins? I'm just curious.

Well I have been thinking that perhaps the article for the Wind Waker should be featured. The main reason I think it should be featured is because it has A LOT of unused content. For example, there is a boat load of unused islands/rooms, whether they be early versions of something used or something unused entirely. Similarly, there is also another boat load for unused textures and models. I think that they paint an interesting picture for some of the development process of the game. The cherry on the sundae is that we have discovered some of the debugging features of the game. The most important of which is the Map Select to allow us to load many unused rooms.

But that is just my opinion. I guess my next question would be what about the article would prevent/stop you, or other Admins, from featuring it?

I would assume lack of content, lack of interesting content, article disorganization, and a general not following of Guidelines.

Also BMF I've been meaning to ask, once the Pokemon Red/Blue article is cleaned up more, do you think it fits the content side of feature-worthiness? Pokemon Gold/Silver is already a featured article, but I find the Red/Blue article is just as interesting, just more sloppily done. I still plan to do more cleaning one of these days...

The Wind Waker page is missing some actual, you know, prose. Images are nice 'n all, but the rooms' descriptions, for example, are pathetic, often just consisting of half a sentence. That needs to be made better.

Ok. I'll first try to beef up the room descriptions. Can you, or anyone else, offer other constructive criticism about what appears to be lacking on the page? I do think the page is worthy of being featured. It is just a matter of overcoming the faults of the page which I believe I and other users could fix.

Yeah, the Wind Waker thread is in desperate need of an overhaul. Cuber and I tried to make it better by making subpages, but I'm not sure if that's really what we need.

Also, I've been meaning to fix up the descriptions, but I haven't gotten around to it. I apologize. I'll try to make time for it when I can.

For better or for worse, I'm going to push this thread again. Gamma and I have been working on beefing up the descriptions, specifically for the unused rooms section. I believe that the section is better than it was before. I think the Wind Waker page should be a featured article because it showcases a ton of unused materials but is the page still lacking to be a featured article? If it is, say where. I can always elaborate on more things but the problem is finding the time to do so.
