I have a version of Deus Ex Human Revolution that was given to reviewers like gamespot and others. I've been trying to open the Bigfile.000 and Bigfile.001 for awhile now to see if there is anything. Is there anyway to extract the stuff in these? I know the game uses one of the newer Tomb Raider engines.

Numeric file extensions like that are usually used to segment larger files into smaller units in the file table, which assists with copying and partial transfers. By themselves, they don't provide any information regarding the contents of the files in question.

Gibbed did an extractor and some tools for the retail game, grab 'em here.

They're probably open-source but I can't seem to find the code on his site right now.
