I got a new NWR1000 Netgear Router!

It has a weak signal, but I can still connect my 3DS and DSi to the internet with it! Better still, I can move my laptop to my room now instead of the living room! I am very excited for my new trinket!

My first router was in 2001. I kept using it until about 2008--its 10megabit WAN port was no longer fast enough to handle modern connectivity speeds or Skype/bittorrent/anything peer to peer.

My first was a Westell versalink 327w from Verizon. It was surprisingly stable, as long as I was using linux machines with it. Kind of weird. With windows machines on the network it would reset a couple times per day.

I transferred everything I wanted from my DSi to my 3DS. Now I get to sell my DSi to try to get either a Wii U or a PS Vita. I might get a PS Vita first, since the Wii U is Way off.

First router was a Linksys WRT54G. Then got an Actiontec MI424WR(name?) when we upgraded to FiOS.

wireless connectivity issues sometimes can be resolved by putting the access point on higher ground...like the top of a bookshelf and what not.

My first router was a BEFSR00 something, something really old, think 2002.

With its measly 10 megabit WAN port it could no longer keep up with modern internet.

Also, D-Link has horrible buggy firmware... do avoid that.

I've had the opposite of this in experience. It does have a different way of handling than Linksys though, entirely. But my linksys routers always have had more firmware issues than D-Links.

Whereas I've never had firmware issues with my Linksys. Go figure.

My D-Link continuously needs rebooting and can't set security settings without malfunctioning in the oddest ways (and settings don't do what they say they do)
