This might prove useful for the Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver page:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eI-J5t8US2Q

It's odd in that almost all of the cars appear to be identical to their final versions. Just thought I'd throw this out there for further examination...

Wow, I had no idea this existed. Weird stuff. I didn't even know the engine was capable of handling those little cutscenes or mid-track car changes. If I had to take a guess, this was probably made between the first game and STD 2 since it seems a bit more advanced than the original, so it's likely to be skim on prototype content. I might get in touch with the guy who posted the video and see if he's willing to share the game anyway, although now's not a good time for me because I'm going to be out of town for the next couple of weeks.

Also, I'm pretty sure I owned that car wash at some point. I think it had a gimmick where you could put real water in it and pump a button to spray your cars. Fun!

According to the description, it came with a playset. My guess is that it was meant to be a preview...

I originally posted this because I thought it'd help explain some of the extra sprites, but none of the leftover ones appear to correspond to the cars in the video. The mystery continues...

It's just my guess. A pack-in like this could be either a preview or a promotional demo made after the game. It might be possible to guess which from the release dates of the track set it was bundled with, but it'd probably be easier to just get a copy of the demo and check the contents.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
