Are there any Action Replay codes for accessing the test rooms?

I've been experimenting with the AR codes from BSFree (found here), and I've noticed the "Unlock Hard Mode And Time Attack" code also seems to change the game to Japanese (at least, in text, and on my cart). I'm not sure if it's consistent, though - once or twice, there were also subtitles for the text in the demo cutscene, but most of the time, they aren't there.

Since it seems like both English and Japanese texts are in the game, could they have had an option to switch between languages (like in Super Metroid, for example)? I'll admit I haven't seen the Japanese version's Options screen, but the English (US) version's screen is rather sparse...
Could there be a code to just swap the language, alone? I'm wondering if there's more than just Japanese and English, in the game (and since I only have the cart, I can't do a hex view...)
