00 is when you try to leave the house without grabbing the shield from Tarin.
06, 09, 0B are covered in the above post.
0E is when you try to use the toadstool as an item.
FA and FB are used by the nude model in the animal village.
FC is when you go to open a closet in a house.
FF is when you go to the closet in Tarin's house when he's awake and about.
1B and 1D are above too.

That's all I can dig through for now, but a straight up text search through the game's rom may be more in order?

For some reason, nenson used the word "letters" to refer to numbers.

I believe that post is also meant to suggest that the digits 0-9 in the character set are unused, even though they are obviously used for... the high scores.

I've been playing around with the FFV Anthology Walk Through Walls code recently. I was curious if there was a way you could get into the the room beyond Zeza in the Barrier Tower in World 2. If you go into the actual room where Zeza is, he blocks you from going any further. There's no exit/loading zone programmed in, so the door does nothing, even if you enter it from the other side.

If you look around the other maps by going through the walls, I believe you can actually get into the engine room, but nothing happens. Been a while since I looked through it, so I don't exactly remember.

Then when I played through the game earlier, I wondered if in World 3 at Tycoon Castle if Lenna, Faris, or the Chancellor say anything since you normally can't talk to them. There are people dancing and if you step on a certain tile to get to them, they'll rudely bump you out of the way. Well I found out that both Lenna and Faris will crash the game, but the Chancellor says something along the lines of "Don't worry about the castle, we'll keep it safe."

I'd be interested in looking at the other versions, but the PSX is the only one with the code, and it seems like they took everything the SFC game had and ported it all to the respective versions. So I'm thinking either way nothing new would come out of it.

Course swapping is possible in Mario Kart 8. Video claims unused tracks, but early parts look just like placeholder tracks for other parts of the game, like the menu. But it is interesting!

And smealum confirmed a working exploit for 7.x and 8.x 3DS firmwares, though I'm not sure if it still needs the 4.5 entry point exploit. He previously said that the new exploit is only really useful for homebrew, and I'm not following much of this anyways, but it's always cool to get more progress for exploring our favorite games.

I doubt it's meant to be a track, but the fact that it has a big square for the karts to drive on is interesting. Another interesting thing is how the karts start in specific locations, which seem to indicate a set of starting positions. Those guys should try doing a battle on the track and see where it starts the karts.


The graphical effect is nothing special, of course. It's the same thing that happens in other Wii U and Source engine games when you go out of bounds and there's nothing to draw on screen.

There seems to be an extra world exclusive to this version, but I can't find much info on it other than a video on how to access it (http://vimeo.com/64710667), and a few screens from somebody who stumbled upon it (http://www.lemonamiga.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=61725&sid=ec05d87d6a5ae7d2f4807467a81b7a5e#61725). It might be worth documenting.

Uh, when did WiiU hacking become a thing?

Where did you read about this 3DS exploit, too? I only know 3dbrew which documents a ton of registers and memory addresses but explains very little about actual progress.

Along with that, the WiiU has essentially been cracked, but info has been held back for over a year due to "concerns over piracy" :/

Well, to be charitable, if they feel they'll be responsible for watershedding in piracy on an already unstable system, that's for them to consider. But more than that, one of the dolphin developers who knows about the WiiU stuff did release enough information, according to him, to get proper homebrew going for those willing to look into it. He was at a conference last December and talked about how to hijack the WiiU gamepad and showed examples.
