So, a long time back I downloaded a full set of SPC files, the music files for Super Nintendo games. I looked in the folder for this one game called Maui Mallard: Cold Shadow, and there's like 37 songs in there I'm pretty sure don't show up in the game at all. The funny thing is that the actual game only has about 11 songs that actually play in the game, so I'm actually wondering if maybe somebody made a mistake and put in music from a different game in that folder, or something.

Still, it may be worth looking into. I don't think it's a game anyone's really looked through for unused content, so maybe there's something to go with the songs.

The unused songs are here. It's all in its native SPC format, so you'll need something to play it.

I'm afraid I'm not really sure how to open up anything in the game which gives you access to all the music, so the only real proof I have at the moment is the fact that these songs were in the folder for the game's music.

All of that music is clearly from a different game. NONE of the tracks match the actual Maui Mallard soundtrack in either instrumentation or composition.

Oddly enough, though, there are some obvious Donald Duck-like quacks in a few tracks, especially 3 and 4. Just what game DID these come from, anyway?

They're from Donald Duck no Mahô no Bôshi (aka "Donald Duck in the Magic Cap"), a Super Famicom only game.
