I'd like to post the one poem that I've enjoyed writing.
I don't care if you don't like it, but critique it if you wish.

Life

Take a close look at it
See its entrapping glare
Bringing you in
From future to past
Sensing your fears
Your loves and hates
Becoming one with you
Creating a path to new life.

Created life out of dark
Your mind fills with knowledge,
Your body begins to form
Molded by thought alone
Calling cells towards you
A spark of life expands
Forming the new
Bringing emotions
New ones you have never seen.

You have dreamt
Maybe for a lifetime,
Maybe for a second,
For life to awaken
To feel consciousness
To embrace it,
Modify it and change it.
Creating the world
And thought
Through the mind.

It has been a long time,
And you have grown.
You have learnt the cosmos,
The sky of dim,
The landscape so bare.
You have longed to create,
To expand this.
And now is the time to fulfill these needs.

It has begun.
You can feel your cells
Coming closer towards you.
Their power grows,
And you start to create.
It starts small,
Energy building,
Mind growing.
You begin imagining,
Bringing your logic alive.
Reality forming,
From the slightest thought,
Spreading like wildfire.

You create balance,
Life and death,
Joy and hatred,
Good and Evil.
Your mind races,
A quickened pace.
You strive for more.

It excites you,
And it is overwhelming.
You have no limits,
No boundaries.
It supports you,
Helps you
To grow stronger,
One with the land,
And the power.

It...
It is almost complete.
This controls you,
Saddens you.
The end is close,
You can sense it.
Yet the power continues to grow.
It’s out of your hands now.

Emotions fill your mind,
And your body is formed.
You mind,
Filled with thoughts of sin,
Continues to process
As blood pumps from within
A fleshy carcass.
You didn’t want this.
It’s too much to handle.

It grows and grows,
Slowly breaking,
Splitting from within,
Creating upon itself.
It is complete,
And now
It has reached its end.

It is done,
And from life came death.
You became too much,
Consequences
Became too great for you.
Back into darkness,
There's nothing more,
A pure void.
All you can do is wait
For another spark,
For life to form.

I guess you’re only human.
