I recently found my Pikachu Gameboy Color (the first one). It was unplayable because of a shallow gash on the screen due to my brother loaning it out to a friend. Yes, I'm very picky about scratches.
Also, the speaker is busted and barely plays most sounds but some get through screamingly loud.

Apparently, pot does 1d8 damage with a 19-20/x2 crit. and has a +5 keen enchantment vs Republicans!
Who would've guessed?

Anyway, my unbiased 2 cents, and I own a 360, not a PS3.
THE HARDWARE: PS3, hands down. Faster CPU, better graphics processor, much more efficient memory.
PERFORMANCE: PS3 seems to have fewer lockups and better frames per second overall.
APPEARANCE: 360 looks incredible in high-def, anti aliasing and Anisotropic filtering is definitely utilized so environments appear more crisp and edges are less jagged. This is particularly surprising considering it has an ATI and Nvidia usually (in my opinion) handles aa and af much more efficiently. Every detail looks much more crisp on a 360 than on PS3.
EDIT: I'll add one thing though, the PS3 can have much more polygons on screen before slowdown, it also handles advanced AI a bit better.

Even when I'm totally bombed I can still type just fine and walk straight, though let it be noted that I can't balance on one foot.

I'm not going to play another roguelike until I've done everything in Nethack.
That said, I'm not going to play another roguelike.

My guess is that he was making a profit off of it by having a business on modding consoles. That would probably be the reason for the arrest and jailtime, although I agree that it's a very harsh punishment.

I would recommend one of these bad boys as far as the Power Supply is concerned, just to make sure you have the power you need if you need it. It was $80 the last time I saw it though, so you probably should shop around a bit.
As far as fan placement is concerned, you'll want a crossflow across the components inside, normally with cooler air being drawn in from the front and sides and hot air being exhausted out of the front and back. Of course, this depends on if your case has mounting points for those locations. You'll also have to take your power supply's airflow into consideration.
With that particular mobo, you'll want to shop with ATI because it looks to be crossfire enabled. You could either dump some money to get one (or two) great graphics cards or save some and get 2 cheaper cards. Use this helpful site to help you make a decision.
The CPU is about as good as it comes at that price, though I would personally recommend an Intel i7 (or an AMD equivalent if they make one yet) if you can get a good price on one, you could probably get one for about $250. It would be great for future-proofing your rig, although the quad-core you picked would probably do just fine for a few years (I have an Intel model at 2.4 GHz, still absolutely wonderful).
Out of everything I recommended, I would suggest the power supply because it's always nice to have a little extra if you decide to put something else in your rig later. Happy shopping!
EDIT: I took a second look at your CPU and realized that it's just barely behind the i7, the only difference being that the AMD uses DDR2 and the i7 uses DDR3. Go with the AMD and save $130.

I'm personally an Nvidia fanboy, but ATI makes some killer cards. They're typically better at different things, it just really depends on personal preference of fine details. If you're not a videophile, you could go either way. Just remember, as far as motherboards are concerned, crossfire = ATI and SLI = Nvidia.

Plasma is on it's last leg and LCD just plain looks better. If you're willing to drop a bit fuckton more cash, OLEDs will give you eyegasms. Either that or wait a year or two to make your decision when WalMart is supplying 42 inch OLEDs for $1,000. Okay, that's a bit of a stretch but yeah...
