Persona 2, 3, 4

I can only play Persona 4 at my friends house because I can't seem to find one ANYWHERE! The same applies for Persona 3. I do however have 2 on emulator I just haven't had the motivation to put forth the time on it.

Since I am a big fan of the use of the Wild West setting in video games it gives me great satisfaction to see a video game that is a cut above most games in that setting genre. As a rule I usually buy or rent every game in this setting just because its a impulsive quirk of mine. Recently I bought Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and I am quite pleased with my purchase. I love how the game ties the story in with the Civil War in a way that actually makes sense. There is nothing worse than a shabby historical plot tie-in. I won't go into detail but the protagonists desert the CONFEDERACY (something very rare many developers are afraid to touch this route on fear they will catch leprosy or something) to protect their family. There that's all I will say.

This game is primarily about teamwork, you not only have to protect yourself but your brother also, and in turn (since he actually has a competent AI) protects you. The game has lots of really neat helping sequences i.e. jumping onto a ledge and helping your brother up. The neat thing about this is that the game is entirely in first person so to see those sequences pulled off well is impressive.

The modeling of the characters could use some work since compared to the detailed environment they look "out of place". Also it is rather annoying that the game stops you every time you are about to advance in the chapter to save a checkpoint. The checkpoint system could have been streamlined a bit more. But those things are easy to overlook in the fact that its the fucking Wild West! I mean that is to me the coolest setting for a game ever.

Its because Nintendo is being stupid and keeps marketing to the "casual gamer". The big three don't make money on the consoles, in fact Sony and Microsoft actually lose money for every console they make. For Nintendo console sales there is a marginal profit but not enough to keep the company afloat. Its the game sales that earn the money. How much does it cost to imprint a game on a 5 cent CD....barely anything. If you take that into account with the 50 to 60 dollar price tag its a significant profit. Nintendo just doesn't get that most casual gamers play f****** Wii Sports, not platform titles.
