Fear not! For I too have spent much of my handheld gaming life on the throne of the gods. (It was the only place my parents wouldn't try to make me stop playing and do my homework)

I used to believe as a child that if I didnt run up the basement stairs fast enough, the stairs would flatten into a slide and I would be eaten by Gollum. (This was after I read the Lord of the Rings)

Certainly, I am a pretty good shot for a kid that has no depth perception and poor eyesight.

Wait...so Metal Gear Solid 4 was a JRPG?

Personally I dont think much will come of this. I agree with the article in the fact that thye are trying to get concessions. North Korea has balls but not so much as to start a war. Keep in mind they are being watched by nearly every European power so it would be fool hardy to try anything. South Korea on the other hand should be worried.

That's assuming your average North Korean citizens even have shingles for NASA to count. Most of the populace live in shantytowns.

Originally posted by FirePhoenix I bought this today finally and started playing. Here's my initial impressions.
MP5 tears through ammo a bit fast for my liking but is damn useful either way.
Strike Rifle is awesome.
End of level three is ridiculous. Died 5 times there trying to take on those four conduits and the dredge swarming from them.
Graphics are awesome for Wii.
Environments are fun to explore.
All-Seeing Eye is quite interesting. It's like the Scan Visor from Metroid Prime.
I wish grenade throw could be mapped to a button instead of a motion. I always seem to overshoot.
I love the customization options but I feel overwhelmed. So much control, I'm never entirely happy!
Ran into a predictable storyline element but wasn't expecting it to happen so early so it caught me a little off guard.
As for Conduit, from the short experience from watching you play I already don't like it. No matter how much I try to trick myself into enjoying a shooter it always come down to one thing...the lack of a story. As for Conduit the story was iffy from the start. Give me those good ole' JRPG's any day, better story, better game-play, better everything
And you complain about the little things too much, like how my TV was always off color and the like

No I just prefer them, I just dislike shooters in general; there is rarely any intelligent thought involved. Shooters comprise of only mindless violence which serves no purpose but to give stiffys to all the shooter bandwagon jumpers.
But of course this is simply my opinion.

I'm on academic probation ladies and gentlemen, I have the most endearing GPA score of 1.138 and all my classes for next semester are put on hold until a) I get up to date Mental Disability testing b) I take NOVA's kiddie Disability Testing c) well I don't really know what "c" is but I am sure it will be there soon. I am seriously considering the fact that I might not be right for college. I mean I am not really sure I "want" it. It's not like you need a college education to write novel's (Which is my chosen profession). I can find regular work as a tradesman, I am good with my hands...I don't know...kind of lost here.

Well I have mapped out a plan now, going to call the Department of Rehabilitative Services to get my test results back and to see if they can help me with anything. They offer help with housing, job finding, insurance, transportation, and other things of that nature. Qualifying for these services is a double edged sword, on one hand if the person was normal to begin with then their lives generally wouldn't be so troublesome, but on the other you have access to all these nifty services. I am going to look fir a second job to be able to support health insurance, car insurance and other blood sucking deviltry like that. Finally I am putting a freeze on spending, need to put off that PS3 I was planning to buy
I am now out of the woods and into the light

I know this may be a bad time to ask this but here goes: If something goes terribly wrong when they extract your wisdom teeth and it results in your untimely death...can I have your PS3?

Why does it seem that no producer has the ability to say "no" to George Lucas? Please say "no" when you see this man so he doesn't ruin any more of his ideas by expanding on them...poor Indie

On a side note my mother has designed for me a "schedule".
What this means for me I don't know, but for some reason every time we speak of time management video games seem to pop up in the conversation. According to my mother, mature adults don't play video games so I should stop and be like a "mature" adult....pfff parents.

I was busy doing stuff I can't really remember so it must have not been that monumental. Seems that happens a lot recently. That and drinking lots of spiked slushy punch...maybe that's why I don't remember.
