@ Treeki - I'm currently using the editor to make a much more difficult version of the game. For the most part, editing has been fine. I've progressed to World 1-4 already. I finished editing the first area, but area 2 and 3 don't open. The editor can't read them for some reason. Does anyone else have this problem? If not, is there a way to patch those two areas? (side note: All of the other areas in World 1 work fine) Any help is much appreciated ^__^

I'm having quite a bit of difficulty with pipes and vines, mainly because I started off using the NSMB editor v. 2.2 up until a couple days ago. So, with that said, stuff's been moved around sporadically. I've edited all of my graphic stuff fine, but the pipes are giving me hell.

The images labeled 1, 2, & 3 are the three links to go to area 3. The pipe which it leads to is object 54 (pipe facing down). The entrance link (in area 3) is placed on the bottom left corner of the pipe. All of the values on the entrance link are set to zero. I also have pipe 102 over pipe 53. Should it be the other way around?

There are two vine objects; one invisible, one in a brick. Is there a particular way to set these? They're not entrances, so I can't edit any values for them. I tried putting a link above one of them but it did nothing. As for the vine entrance in area 2, the link's values are all set to zero as well.

Any help on how these linkings work is very much appreciated. ^____^

EDIT: I got rid of the extra pipe links and just left one and it works XD I also messed up the vine linking, and it brought me to the beginning of the level, which gave me an interesting level idea ^^

Find the proper destination area, and put it into "Destination Area:". Since it's set to zero, it defaults to the beginning of the area you're in. Also, make sure you properly link "Destination Entrance:". Set it to something high, like 9 so you know it works for sure.

Treeki and the others haven't yet added support for enemies and sprites in areas that they don't belong. I've tested out a boomerang bro in 1-2; the game didn't crash, but it didn't display the enemy at all (dunno if No$ crashes; I use a flash card to test my stages)

yea, but Hiccup's destination area was set to zero. If I'm not mistaken, they were trying to link off to a separate area (area 2 or higher) from area 1. So they'd need to to put the proper destination (whatever area it is) in the box.

XD Thanks. The second Link picture was the first time I had drawn Ordon Link. I know there's a ton wrong with it (body needs to be bulkier; head shape is different; etc). As for the eye, that was a quick doodle in art class last year, and the original reference picture I used was more circular, which led to my teacher telling me my drawing was shit. I'm not really looking for praise, but more constructive criticism. Which you gave me. Thank you ^_____^
