I just ended watching it right now, and I liked it a lot. Usually I don't watch many movies, or even better, I don't really watch movies, only a few times, maybe this is the reason why do I like it so much (I can't compare it with other movies, so it's epic for me). Yes, there can be a few oddities, and yeah, the "main boss" and the "main good" fights at the end, and the main boss can live till the end, etc. This was though a bit annoying for me, while watching the movie, although I know, that every movies (that I saw) are like this.
So, I think the movie was beautiful. Not on just the visual and graphical levels, the plot, the "message", and the whole imagined world too. I don't mind on the length, though I wondered how long is it, but every parts were decent. The creative ideas and the characters were all great too in my opinion. Definitely liked the ending too, good, but not 100% good.
It wasn't a 3D movie for me, but I was really impressed by the visual display of the movie. I mean, everything - the character animations, the creatures, and the whole forest with the floating islands...my jaws were down, really. So, this is a very big plus of the movie, although the other parts are great too.
Definitely a better movie than the others - for me. I don't know, maybe I'm impressed too easily, but I don't really care. Or it's just better, not? I'm not too picky (and that doesn't mean, that I'm unassuming), so be happy with that.
