| Don't you think this contradicts what Nintendo is claiming to be striving for? They say they want a gamer to feel more connected to a game and have clearly gone a bit overboard to achieve this by developing a way to test your pulse, see how stimulated you are, etc etc. But, if you can just skip over certain parts of a game, it becomes more of a movie than an actual game. In which case, you might as well just go on youtube and watch the cinema scenes. You can't understand a game until you've explored and interacted with it and if you can without doing those essential things, than there's no point in it being a game. |
