Doesn't really snow in southern California... the worst is maybe some ice or frost on really cold nights.

It has been ridiculously cold here lately... I hate it. There's been a chilly wind for weeks, and more rainfall in the past month than there's been all year. I love rainy weather, but I hate the traffic it causes thanks to the dipshits on the road who crash and fuck up the freeways for everyone else.

Yes! I love baking. Cookies are a quick and easy treat to make from scratch, and it's fun to create different flavors based on what I add to the dough.

I tend to bake the most during the summer, because it's when I have the most free time. I have time off from school during December and January, but I always get extra work hours to keep me busy. Thanks, retail!

DVD+/-R/RW 16x optical drive
3 USB, VGA out

Not the flashiest of laptops, but aside from a few bluescreens when I installed Windows 7 (stupid dell drivers) this machine has been perfect. Coming from my HP before this (overheated to the point that it would shut off multiple times a day, though it never bluescreened), it's like heaven.

I like the new profile. The little synopsis of a person's employment, school, relationship, etc at the top is convenient, since I never cared enough to click over to a person's "info" page from their wall. I haven't really used any of the new features yet.

IT FINALLY STOPPED RAINING. THANK YOU BABY JESUS.

Now to wait for the ridiculous floods to go away. Pathetic how easily southern California floods from a week of on and off rainfall.

It's California, of course we did!

It rained some more over the weekend... and another round is set for the middle of this week. Some of the highways through the mountains are still closed due to flooding, and I think Laguna Beach is going to be under water/sinking in mud for a while still.

Luckily I live in a city that doesn't flood too badly, but my commute to work during heavy rain is just brutal... stupid people don't know how to drive if the roads are wet. Two hours to go 30 miles? Come on!

I'm in an apartment, so I didn't bother putting up lights outside. I did buy my first artificial tree... a little 4' one with lights. And thanks to target, I have about a million colorful ornaments on it.

Dude... patience. As someone who has worked answering customer service calls, I can tell you that the ratio of representatives to customers calling is outrageous. You didn't wait five whole minutes for the hell of it... it's a very busy time of year in the retail world, especially for online companies who don't have a brick and mortar location to assist customers. And your bank is just trying to protect you... those built in security features can be a hassle sometimes, but if someone stole your card those features would be quite handy. I understand being frustrated, but try to be a little understanding about who is on the other end of the phone. Not everything can always be instantaneous and perfect!

I'm 5'9. My brother is 6'4 so I'm still not really "tall" in my family. But it's nice to have some height.
