I seem to have a bad habit of registering at communities I think I can be a part of and then never really using my account. I tend to be too much of a lurker these days. I guess it's partly my shy nature that prevents me from fully immersing myself into an online community. Generally, though, I don't have much to add to a topic, and even then I'm sometimes afraid of being attacked. I've had my fair share of flamers in the past and it's really killed my joy in forums.
At any rate, I feel a little bad for not posting at least once since I registered here, especially after being invited (read: forced against my will) to join by Xkeeper. |

I'm a huge Batman fan and this seems to be the Batman game I've been waiting years for. And having Paul Dini co-writing the story and Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill and Arleen Sorkin reprising their roles from the DC Animated Universe just makes me all giddy with excitement!
I am definitely looks forward to this. |

This hit me harder than it probably should have. Yesterday was quite depressing, indeed. I'm still feeling down about the whole thing.
And I personally never believed the pedo accusations. Coming from a family that's been devastated by pedophilia, you tend to pick up on these things. And having studied him for so long, it just wasn't there. But people will believe what they want, myself included.
R.I.P., Michael Jackson.
Thanks for the great songs and fantastic dance moves. |

Originally posted by Keitaro Someone texted me this morning saying Mario had died, and I panicked thinking something happened to Charles Martinet. So of course I get my hopes up thinking okay, at least I won't have to sit through another Bob Hoskins movie. But no. Its not fair that Lou has to die yet Bob is still allowed to make movies....that's just wrong on so many levels
Not that the previous sentiment was any less wrong. Sorry Bob, don't game over on us yet.
No, but in all seriousness, this is sad, but he was old so it was likely just his time. Guess he'll be doing the Mario up in heaven while telling all the people in limbo how they've already gone to hell BEFORE they died if they'd used drugs. Rest in piece, paisano.
Your response to my text message was a little unnerving, whether in jest or not. I know it's not your intention to be cruel, but sometimes you make me want to smack you.
Anyway, this is pretty sad. I keep losing my childhood heroes. While he's better known for his pro wrestling career, he will always be Mario to me, just as much as Bob Hoskins is. I own a DVD collection of "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" and, though I find the cartoons to be a little lame and boring today, I found the live-action segments still pretty entertaining. He and Danny Wells were great as the Mario Bros., and now it would seem Luigi is an only child.
Rest in peace, Lou Albano. |
