So tonight at work; before I continue. You may be confused by the 304, 311, and 312 numbers popping up. These are numbers we hosts communicate with on explaining what tables are open and which are closed.

311- also known as Big Boy, is a big round table that can seat up to 7 people. 304 and 312 is a booth. And they can each sit a maximum of four people.

Well, 311, Big Boy, has had their drink and food orders on the table for well over 20 minutes. 304 and 312 were cleaned off.

The server, is what we hosts call "Strong" servers. Capiable of being "Double Sat" and can handle things normally.

Usually, I don't like double seating my servers. But I was told by the person signing my checks that I need to seat them. So one fellow host sits 304, and I sit 312.

Well, the server comes around and literally jabs her fingers on my side. Yeah, it hurt a little. But I still continued with the opening. Before I could walk away. This server starts snapping her fingers about eight times and tells me with the biggest attitude: "Drink orders".

Hell no! I just walked away like it was nothing.

Then about 10 minutes later. She comes storming up to me and getting in my face saying "If you don't want to work. You won't last long here" and all this other bullshit.

Two months before this. It is company policy that hosts are NOT ALLOWED to get drink orders. I stated this and she went ballistic.

So, what do I do? I e-mailed the GM of the store asking for a conference. He E-mails me back saying he heard about what happened. And is going to speak with me tomorrow. Also stating that I did the right thing and that I was only doing my job.

When I worked at Waffle House. Being double sat is uncontrollable. And is a pleasure. This girl does not want to work. And she harmed me while I was on the job. Not to mention several guests complained about her little attitude.

I am just venting and getting this out in the open. I had some respect for her. But this is ridiculous.

See, the whole situation would have been completely different if she not only would have never hit me in the side, but also asked me politely.

Sure, it's store policy that a host can not give drink orders. But I break the rules sometimes in order to help people if they are "In the weeds". Most managers don't mind this. I only tend to do this with the right managers.

Unfortunately, it did not turn out like this. And I am going to the higher ups about this.
