I can usually imagine places in books and such pretty well - but they always end up having elements from places I know IRL. Specific games also sometimes remind me of specific places, also - I can still remember where I was the first time I finished NSMB.

I wonder what people imagine when they see my posts/layout..

Does that mean you picture me as a NSMB-obsessed Mario stuck underwater in a sewer?

What an image of me..

I remember several years ago I read some articles that detailed just what went into Scientology and how stupid it was. Therefore, anything against them automatically gets an from me. Especially if they're doing something like this to make themselves look better when they're really not.

This; I think it's just a general thing about Avast. I use it and have no problems with it - it works great. I remember when I plugged in the hard drive from my old laptop and I was looking through my stuff, it found a lot of viruses/trojans in there which I had no idea about.

Avast's update lag isn't that terrible for me, but my computer isn't really that bad - it just lags for about 2-3 seconds right before it shows. It's annoying but doesn't happen all the time.

.. actually, I don't remember having seen it in a while, brb checking why

Besides, they're not forcing Scientology completely off Wikipedia. They're blocking the organisation from writing about itself - but other people can still write about it. I think that's a pretty fair compromise.

Here's mine:

For some reason though, it claims my processor is 1.6ghz both in the image, and in the Core Speed in the program itself. It's supposed to be 2.4ghz.

Hasn't it always been considered a conflict of interest to edit articles regarding yourself or your organization? How is this any different?

Yeah, but if I've got this right, this is the first time they've banned an entire organisation from editing, just because of this. That's why it's so newsworthy.

The sprite sets lists are all taken from the game data itself. I'm not sure what the unused sprites do exactly, or if they even do anything.

The activators all work with the event system. I don't remember exactly what the timed event activator did, but the mass event activator lets you activate a group of events in a sequence (like the blocks that appear slowly in 5-C) and the boss activator turns on a boss when Mario goes near. In addition, I think it also blocks off the arena and does a few other things.

Anyone want to post a link to a video of Mario Galaxy 2? I can't find one on Youtube, and I didn't get to watch the E3 keynote live.

Finally realised this was the screensaver thread Tanks mentioned.

This is an old screensaver I made over a year ago. It's not much but someone might like it: http://treeki.shacknet.nu/waterss.zip

It's pretty basic, it's just a SMB3 water screen with fancy translucent effects and random moving Cheep Cheeps. At least I thought it was cool.

Whats that "much more important and impressive" thing?
Ohter than that the editor looks good

I was gonna ask exactly that!

I was wondering what it was too. I asked him in IRC and he forgot what it was. I had no idea I was even working on any additions to the editor.

.NET and WinForms is amazing. I've tried switching to other languages but I can't really code as well or as quickly as in C#/.NET for most things. (If you want to see an example of what it's capable of, take a look at my NSMB editor, or Lazy Shell)

Exactly - the camera format is extremely confusing. So far I've found that views seem to set the main boundaries, the scroll control objects seem to allow areas where the camera doesn't pass through (like at the end of 1-2 - the camera stops unless you're going on top to the bonus pipe), and another block in the level file controls other things to do with the camera.

@ Treeki - I'm currently using the editor to make a much more difficult version of the game. For the most part, editing has been fine. I've progressed to World 1-4 already. I finished editing the first area, but area 2 and 3 don't open. The editor can't read them for some reason. Does anyone else have this problem? If not, is there a way to patch those two areas? (side note: All of the other areas in World 1 work fine) Any help is much appreciated ^__^

What region version of the ROM are you using, and what error do you get?

Try exporting areas 2 and 3 as level files - if it works, upload them so I can take a look and see what's wrong with loading that particular level.
