I also can't wait for no$gba to support DS savestates and saveRAM.

It does support SaveRAM. Set savetype to EEPROM 64kbit (for NSMB) and go!
I already identified some enemies (148 and 149 happen to be Goombas and Koopas, respectively, which is why they're so common in World 1 levels like 1-2) but there's still a lot to go, including all the various warp and camera control commands.

I was talking about for Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

Anyways, take your time but also hurry

We can't wait.

Fourway stretch test? What's that? This is the first time I've made a layout. I plan to expand it more tomorrow when I'm not so tired..

Okay, go ahead and remove that, and post your header code. I'll check where something fucked up.

EDIT: nuked giant fuckin' div

Nuke the div in your original post too, or you'll keep messing up the thread. >_>

Here's the layout code:
<div style="left: 0px; top: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; color: #000000; background-image: url('http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07305/cloudysky2.PNG'); text-align: center; padding: 16px 16px 16px 16px"><br /><table align='center'><tr><td style="background-image: url('http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07305/trans.png'); text-align: center; color: #000000; font-size: 12px; padding: 8px 16px 8px 16px">
...
</td></tr></table><br />Still using IE6? Get something decent and see my layout properly! </div>

There, finally deleted and reposted it with HTML disabled. :/

And here's the fixed code, just copypasta. the below code is the header code (you may wanna just quote me [if you can't see the text] and get everything WITHIN the bold tags and remove the <z> tags)

<div style="left: 0px; top: 0px; width: 100%; min-height: 100%; color: #000000; background-image: url('http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07305/cloudysky2.PNG'); text-align: center; padding: 16px 16px 16px 16px"><br /><table align='center'><tr><td style="background-image: url('http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07305/trans.png'); text-align: center; color: #000000; font-size: 12px; padding: 8px 16px 8px 16px">

That should solve your problem.

Also, I have code that makes it only show up for non-IE users. If you want to use that, just use the following code instead:

<![if !IE]><div style="left: 0px; top: 0px; width: 100%; min-height: 100%; color: #000000; background-image: url('http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07305/cloudysky2.PNG'); text-align: center; padding: 16px 16px 16px 16px"><br /><table align='center'><tr><td style="background-image: url('http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07305/trans.png'); text-align: center; color: #000000; font-size: 12px; padding: 8px 16px 8px 16px"><![endif]>

Thanks.
The IE thing is because I used a transparent PNG for the post background, and IE doesn't support them, as far as I know. I'll be updating it soon.. I would use a different background from NSMB, but that was the only one I had that tiled vertically and horizontally, other than the underground BG (I may try that).

I am no longer maintaining this editor, and have handed it over to Dirbaio. Newer versions can be found here: http://nsmbhd.net/?page=download

I'm keeping this post around for posterity. Most of the documents linked here are pretty old, but maybe you might find something useful...?

This is the old NSMB hacking thread from before we had our own forum on Jul.
While it's extremely long, I've tried to make an index of everything useful that's been posted in it:

Moving Stone Blocks (by Camewel; unconfirmed/untested by me)
Changing Music
Connected Pipes using movement paths (by Garmichael)
More about movement paths (by Garmichael)
Destroying blocks with sprite 197 (plus beta find!)
Touchscreen flagpole paths (by Garmichael)
Block 8/Views (by Garmichael)
Block 2 (by Garmichael)
List of Blocks
Block 9
Sound Sets, Block 5 (by Garmichael)
More about Block 2 (by Garmichael - note; if you use this info, make sure to refer to my post below which describes the negative numbers!)
Even more about Block 2; and panning (by Garmichael)
More about block 2; who would have thought? (by Garmichael)

Aside from the questions, the editor looks super awesome!

I haven't figured out pipes yet; I hope to do that soon. Hopefully shouldn't take long.

Yes, I believe you can make levels longer. But you'd have to use the same amount of objects. Sometime I want to add expanding the amount of objects in a level, but I'd need to write some more advanced file handling code, and I'm not sure how to do it exactly.

Unless enough SMW hacking activity goes on to move it here, I am not so sure... You may see SM64 hacking though, we'll see

The Rohm Acking ROM Hacking forum is inactive enough, I don't think more are needed.

Besides that, not much else. Some things internally were edited (I expect some old posts to break; eek) but besides that, not much changed.

Also, there may be a bug with &rank&, not sure. It breaks in the sample post, though nevermind, I'm a moron

Have you considered fixing that #&postrank&?

I uh, honestly don't know.

You'll have to ask someone who has an image aligned to the bottom of their layout how to do it.

Already did. Seems my now larger NSMB Editor sig and the posts/level/exp bar makes posts long enough to fix it.

There, I think I fixed it.. Fixed the annoying thing of making it stretch the tables a little (invisibly- you could scroll slightly to the right using my old layout) by using right: 0px instead of width: 100%.

You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
