I saw this a couple weeks ago and the song was stuck in my head for a couple days afterwards. Quite catchy indeed.

I am the man who arranges the blocks...

AVG has gotten quite bloated and intrusive in recent years. I used to recommend it to friends and family but I've stopped doing that.

I never used an antivirus until MSE came out. It's lightweight enough that I don't notice it's there.

Now if they'd just port it to Linux...

Google Calendar is my calendar, so I guess I've had my 2011 calendar available for several years already.

It's a pity that it doesn't have pictures of kitties, though.

I've used an iPad occasionally at work for testing purposes.

While it is a pretty piece of hardware, I'd never get one myself.

This Chrome extension is hilarious.

(There's also a chunk of userjs that will do the same thing floating around somewhere.)

Just finished Aquaria, which I got through the humble indie bundle. Overall, I thought it was excellent. Good length, good level of difficulty, good music, beautiful artwork, lots of secrets to find.

Now I kinda wish I had just bought it instead of the Bundle, since I found most of the others to be rather meh.

Posted on 01-18-11 12:35:00 AM, in If everybody hates web 2.0... Link
It's amazing how many web sites want to load over a dozen scripts from all over the place. Your typical news site will want to load scripts from doubleclick, facebook, fbcdn, google-analytics... ugh. Even if you automatically allow scripts from the same domain as the page your viewing to run, some sites still don't work without a bit of tweaking.

I suppose the days of mostly-static pages are gone, though.

Finished it today. Overall, great story, characters, writing, and localization. Some of the puzzles seemed rather unintuitive, but all were doable without a guide. Others, though, made me "AH-HA!" inwardly when I suddenly realized how it would all work.

My only disappointment was that I didn't notice as much humor as the Ace Attorney games, but oh well.

I'd say to mention a BBcode in a post, you could just open and close an HTML tag within it with nothing inside, e.g., [<b></b>img]. Maybe that's too much typing.

To simplify it, you can just use a fake HTML tag. <z> is fine.

Or use &#91; and &#93; if you want to get really fancy.

True, if you're looking for angled brackets. 91 and 93 are the square ones.

So, who here uses RSS feeds for keeping track of things that update? I use them quite a lot for getting updates for webcomics, Youtube user channels, a couple Twitter users, and various other places around the internet. I don't know that many real-life people that use them, though, so I'm curious about how much people here use them, if at all.

If so, what do you use to read them? I personally use Google Reader.

This thread currently uses 29 of the tags, perhaps 30 now with the addition of this post.

That's probably all we need, right?

No problems here, triple-boot setup across two hard drives with several partitions.

The only hitch I ran into was having to make C: a bit bigger, since I didn't have enough space to complete the installation.

Bah. My only web browser is netcat, and I craft each HTTP request by hand. Uphill both ways.
