FirePhoenix did it. Blame him. It was right after a really big spree, because I remember him whining about how much his hands hurt
I asked where this was, and he gave me a link and told me to have a look around. One thing that convinced me to join up was the activity in the Computer/Tech thread. Sadly, most of that activity was because of Hiryuu (he was using the name 'Nao' at the time, I believe).
Anyway. I stuck around because I like the community, and it seemed like a place I fit in at.
So, thanks Fifo

Has anyone had any experiences with Sabayon Linux? I was thinking of giving it a whirl. I've never used anything that wasn't based on Debain, and was thinking of trying something new. Sabayon is based on Gentoo, so if you've used anything similar, your comments and opinions on that would be appreciated too.

This. It could be something wrong with the electrical outlet it's plugged into. If there's something wrong with the mobo, or power switch it may very well be turning on by itself just because it lost power. First, do as Joe said and unplug the machine, wait a few second, and plug it back in.

Personally, if the installed operating system was 32-bit, then the upgrade should be 32-bit as well.
My laptop has a 64-bit processor, but came with 32-bit Vista. 64-bit 7 works pretty flawlessly on my machine. It won't let you begin the installation if your architecture isn't supported.
At any rate, it seems as if though the problem may be fixed?

Eh. Sometimes I prefer to be alone, it just depends on my mood. Most of the time, there's at least a certain someone I'd rather be with, but that usually isn't even a possibility.
When I am alone, it doesn't really bother me that much, usually. Like I said, it just depends on my mood and the time of day. Sometimes it really gets to me, and I'll just spend the day couped up, sleeping or something.

Rather generic looking white socks. I'm pretty sure they're mismatching, but I don't really care. Sleeping in clothes is...uncomfortable.

Yeah, just shows how not-so-active I've been as of late, though. Not had such a good few last months. Can't find the motivation to do much of anything. Much less post here

I haven't seen any of the new series. I got a glimpse of the new doctor when Tennant regenerated, but that's it. I think I'm going to wait until I can grab the whole season at once. I can't ever catch it on TV, and I don't have a DVR or anything.

Thanks. I'd appreciate it
Don't worry about it if you can't, though.

I keep all of it on an end table until a spendable amount gets saved up.
On a side note, I don't pick up pennies. Heads or tails. And I don't normally keep pennies when I get them back as change. There's a reason for it, but nothing I want to talk about right now. Just enjoy another FunFact about darthbobby.

Coconut cake, pumpkin pie, banana pudding, and ice cream sandwiches.

THIS THIS THIS 100 TIMES THIS! That shit drives me nuts, because I want a nice theme that doesn't burn my retinas but then some website will screw that all up.. but it's not always websites, either. Some PROGRAMS will do this too!
I don't understand why they wanted to take the white paper with white text metaphor over to monitors. The one place I could see it being useful is for publishing and MAYBE word processing, but it's not even really necessary there. Otherwise it's a nuisance. All the common old OSes started with white fucking windows and black text. UGH. For devices that provide their own back lighting, light on dark. For devices that don't (paper, kindle/ereaders, gameboys) dark on light. Simple concept but some dumbasses back in the day thought different and fucked up everything forever.
Seconding every bit of this. If I have a choice, it's white on black. Black on white hurts my eyes. No matter what it's printed on.

The only ways I can think of is
1) If you could find somewhere with out an upload cap (personal web space or something)
or
2) Archive it into parts around 200MB and upload them to somewhere like Mediafire.
Someone else may have a better solution.
