FunFact: This was supposed to be about my father, but the background info required to tell that story is unreal, so here's my life: Hmm...might as well give you some background, so here comes my life story: I lived with my biological parents right up until my 3rd birthday. My dad left during my 3rd birthday party, and that was the end of having an active father-figure in my life. I continued living with my mother, until she met the man that would become my step-father. We were renting a single-wide trailer from my grandmother, who lived right across the road from said trailer, and she did not approve of the man my mother was seeing. Well, for that matter, no one approved of it. He was a fucking dick, and he's only worse now. So she gave us a choice: find somewhere else to live, or she could tell him to get lost. So...we moved. Ended up renting an apartment in another city, in a not so nice part of town. I'm still 3 at this point, so all of this happened within the year. Anyway, oh, I forgot to mention, I have an older sister, she'd have been 8 during all of this. She has the same biological parents I do. Anyanyway, we live in the 'projects' (ya know: drugs, bang bang, neighbor shooting her boyfriend right next door to us :|) for the next 8 years. We only moved because my mom was pregnant with her 3rd child, my little half-brother. So, my step-dad's parents buy us a dump back in the same town we started out it. My mom has my little half-brother, and finds out a month later shes prego again :|. After a few years, my sister decided to move out because of his abusive, alcoholic behavior, or that's why I thought she moved out. Years later, I found out that he was drunk one night, and he went to her bed and laid naked with her while she was sleeping. So I have to deal with his behavior for a few more years. It finally gets bad enough that we manage to find another house that we can somewhat afford an we moved out. We're to the point in the story, where some of you might recognize this. We only moved out of that house a month or two ago. Anyway, we're still dealing with issues from moving, such as custody, but that isn't the point of this thread. So, to this point: Lived with mom and step-father since 3 years old. Moved out. People living with me currently: Me, mother, half-brother, half-sister. Meanwhile, my dad found his current wife not too long after he moved out on my 3rd birthday. She had two kids with a previous husband that ditched her at a gas station an R-U-N-N-O-F-T'd to Texas. Anywho, she and my father have 2 more kids together. Side note: I get to visit them ~4 times a year. Now, present day. I get a phone call from my dad. Everything starts out normal, he asks me how I'm doing, and I tell him I'm fine. I ask him how he's doing. "Not too good." Uh oh. So he goes into telling me that he's been kicked out of the house, with no real place to go. Not allowed to see any of his kids until his court date. Apparently my step-mother has been cheating on him. They just got a new double-wide together, and she's trying to get him out of the house. So she and her mother coach my step-brother into pressing charges against him for assault and battery and some shit. Everyone knows he hasn't done anything, even the cops said that they've known him his whole life and he wouldn't have done it, but the law requires that he leave and have no contact with the kids until court. He's currently staying with his aunt, but her apartment lease won't allow him to stay for more than 3 days. This is day two. He's called me because he has no place to go, and my mom just left my step-dad. I tell him not to worry, that I'll try to work out some way for him to stay here when he needs to. I know this makes for an awkward situation, ex-husband and wife living together, but he's the kind of man that does anything and everything he can to help people, and I'm the same way, and I want to help him out all I can. Even though we don't get to see each other as often as we both wish, I still look up to, and love my father. By this point on the phone, he's crying his eyes out. I dunno if it's just me, but when the person you look up to, and the closest thing you have to a father starts crying like a baby, it gets to you, ya know? Anyway, static. Lines dead. I immediately call his youngest daughter, my little half-sister. She's just found out, and she's crying as well. I make sure she still has my number and that I'm here for her if she needs anything. Next I call my mother, and explain the situation. She says she'll call and talk to him when she gets home from work. She gets home and trys calling a few times, but no dice. When I finally get him back on the line, he says that the cordless he was using died, and he just got back from discussing things at the sheriffs office. My mom says that given the situation with my step-dad, and her new "boyfriend", he could stay the weekend, but that's it. Me and my older sister (now 21) both think she's being incredibly selfish about this. As I said before, if it was her in this situation, he'd help her in a heartbeat. I think me and my sister have finally talked her into being at least a little compassionate about it. So, kids are leaving this weekend, either tomorrow morning, or afternoon, depending on if school is closed due to weather. Hopefully he'll be staying here during that time. After that, we think he can return to the place he's staying now for another 3 days. If not, and after that, we're still working on it. I've got no problem with him staying here. I know he's a great stay at home dad, he's great with kids, and he's a pro with house work. The only problem with that is getting my mother to let him stay here for a while. I hate to see him end up on the streets. He's too much of a good person for that to happen to him. Anyway, the reasoning for me posting this here is to get some opinions. What should I do? The table summary attribute should be used to describe
