it looks like you have several substantial advantages. |

| hey that's fantastic. usually 8 bit versions of songs sound like they were just put through some sort of fuzzy chiptune filter. I don't know if that makes any sense. this sounds really nice, is my point. now you have to make an animation to go with it! |

I want to replace this watch for someone as a surprise, but I cannot remember who made it. this is the only photo I have. I know it's a long shot but do any of you guys have an idea as to what brand this might be? |

thanks, but no thanks, i'll stick to maybe buying something at 50 cents
fortunately promos are eventually being made craftable. I'm also digging that scarf but I'm not about to buy a thirty dollar spreadsheet. |

I'm almost certain it's that Casio.
Thanks a bunch you guys. I asked a few different places on the internet, I didn't actually think Jul would be the one with the answer! I really appreciate it |

I was just reading this old thread, and there was something Emuz said that caught my eye:
Originally posted by Emuz Also if you've ever done any volunteer work, or worked on a project online with some people (depending on what it was) you can use to show you gave back with your time. They often look for stuff like that.
I've been looking for ways to make my resume stand out somehow, and an online team project sounds interesting. So I want to ask everyone: What sort of projects would be good to think about? I imagine I'd go for something programming oriented, but I don't have any clear direction yet. I'd like to hear what you guys would do. |

Aw! My cat growing up was a manx with a stubby tail. He was really smart, quirky, and just an amazing guy all around. Sweet, but not needy. I'll never go for another breed of cat.
I have no name ideas, just happy to see other manx owners. You should share more pics if you can. |

My interests don't fit in with the forums anymore. I've changed a lot, and it seems the community has changed a lot too. I'm referring to the Acmlm board community in general, as I've never been very active on Jul. I don't recognize most posters here. But these are the only forums I've ever stuck around with, so I like to check in every now and then.
If you're looking to build activity, these forums should probably have some kind of focus, a website or something. Acmlm had his rom hacking site, and built a community off of that. The Cutting Room Floor is awesome, maybe you can expand on that. If you wanted to jump start Jul by maintaining a new website, it might be a good idea to reboot the forums too. Give it some new life.
I joined when I was 13. I'm almost 25 now. I get the impression a lot of people around here are pretty young, and it's not surprising that, for reasons out of anyone's control, they will just get tired of message boards. Don't worry so much about rekindling the interests of old members. The best way to keep activity is to maintain an active board, and the best way to do that is to steadily attract new members to the community. Just my two cents. |
