I hope this is in, if not then please add the cut/copy/paste/undo/redo functions! Lunar Magic's lack of an undo button really annoyed me at times.

1. When I'm looking for French songs by googling French singers and most of them, although of French origin, sing entirely in English. D:

2. When idiots in YouTube call Spanish "Latin" instead of at least "Latin Spanish" or "Latin American Spanish"

3. When people ask me if Italian is a messed up version of Spanish ... (it has happened a LOT)

4. And when you forget what you were going to do/say.

Last year I went with my sister to the biggest mall on the island, located in the capital ... It was chaotic.

I didn't go this year though, I have to save money for college.

I can do algebra with no real problem, I sometimes get stuck with some things but I understand it and I can work my way out of some problems. I haven't taken calculus yet and I think I never will

I'm addicted to two SNES games you've probably never heard of (at least not of the two of them)

Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Top Gear
(I not 2 or 3000, Top Gear the FIRST)

Which off-topic, the ZAMN level editor fails to open in Windows 7 and even in XP mode, which supposedly promised that if it worked in XP, it would work in XP mode. D:

Oh wow, I never would have guessed. My brother bought me ZAMN when I was just 4 years old and I loved it so much it became one of my favorite SNES games (along with Top Gear and the platform Mario ones). Just recently I downloaded it to the Virtual Console and I've been playing it a lot with my cousins. But I find it rather easy now, I've beaten it several times from start to finish and I always end up with over 10 health kits and quite a lot of red potions and pandora boxes... The only time it gets difficult is when I play it with my less-dexterous cousins.

Yes, I have The Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy on DVD and I've watched all three series entirely quite a few times.

I do the same for movies and games but much less often for books.

Posted on 12-06-09 06:06:15 PM, in Is that really the best the NDS can do? (last edited by FieryIce at 12-06-09 07:54 PM) Link
I was looking for SNES emulators for the DS(i) and I found quite a few but to my surprise, even though the DS has been out for quite a long time now (half a decade actually) none of the emulators could do a "very good" job at emulating the games I like. In SNEmulDS for example, Top Gear, Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island and SMW: TLC are unplayable (although the latter could be due to the size of the ROM), many other games play terribly (ZAMN, for example, has a lot of layering issues) and I couldn't even get it to save while playing SMW.

I asked in another community why is it that no better emulator has been built or why hasn't anyone improved on SNEmulDS, which is open source, and the response I got was that that's as best as SNES emulation can get on the DS's hardware... Is that true? Is no one else working on an SNES emulator or improving an existing one?

I would be willing to learn C++ (I want to anyways) and start reading on how the DS and the SNES work but that's just dreaming too much

(sorry if this isn't the correct forum, I have no idea where this suits best)

So it's a bit far-fetched the idea of someday decently playing SNES games on my DS? Or is it theoretically possible to build an excellent SNES emulator without altering the DS's hardware? I think the DSi is slightly stronger than the normal DS although I don't think it's by any significant margin...

Finland or Sweden, but I especially like Finland and their beautiful language and country.

I would also consider New Zealand, if things are too dangerous in Europe due to a war or something, although Sweden is usually neutral.

Ok so I asked this on gbatemp and what I got was that the DS simply has too little RAM and a weak CPU, but what about the DSi? I read somewhere that the DSi has a stronger CPU and 4 times the RAM of the older versions of the DS. This is really interesting, I already ordered a book on C++ and I'll see if I can understand how SNEmulDS works ... I don't actually think I can do anything worth the time but I can try

Nice work ignoring Hyperhacker's Response.

Not unless you know a flashcart that is currently doing more than forcing the dsi in DS mode, locking out the extra functions.

Oh wow, I honestly didn't see it D: Well that was a waste of time... (going to gbatemp when my question was already answered here )

Epic idea! That with a special person to have fun with during the night would be amazing. I wonder how much a tropical island of that size would cost nowadays...

Well, Spanish is my first language. I never really studied English, I learned it mostly through immersion (video games and TV). Due to this, when I first arrived on internet forums I was constantly attacked for my bad English, which slowly got better as I practiced it and saw how people wrote it. Last year during Summer I started learning Italian, then French (this summer) and I'm just starting to learn Swedish.

I am only fluent in Spanish and English but I have a very good knowledge of French and Italian and I'm capable of holding a conversation in those languages. I also understand (almost perfectly) written Portuguese. As for spoken Portuguese, I can understand it if it's spoken slowly.

As for the future, I plan to take a German major in college, and possibly a Russian minor and see where those take me. I would like to be a translator or a language teacher. Other languages that interest me and I would learn if I had the free time would be: Finnish, Latin, Romanian, and Greek.
