>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... Looks pretty nice from the video, though I haven't yet had much of a chance to play it. What I did notice, however, is something right at the start of World 1-1: ![]() If you let the mushroom go under those mushroom-shaped platforms and go after it to get it, you're stuck under them and have to kill yourself - you cannot go back because the screen's already scrolled too far, and you can't make the jump across the water because you hit the edge of the platform above and bounce right back into the pit. Hope my explanation made sense. -------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... ![]() Wily's Toolbox + some ASM = Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Remix! (tentative and maybe stupid title) Basically, this is what I've been messing around with, hacking-wise, since starting development on Wily's Toolbox (which I should give an update sometime soon). It's currently just Cutman's stage that's been finished - and the only one available in the demo below, since I locked you out from using the stage select and password screens - but I hope that some more progress will follow. It's kinda fun hacking this game, especially since you can add neat little things like custom blocks via some simple ASM, so I think I'll keep working on this, on and off at least.Download Cutman stage demo (IPS patch for US ROM) here; let me know what you think ![]() -------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... Originally posted by Gamma Yeah, they are, just tried in in the MM Debug ROM. Kinda weird... And about the Spin Attack cutscene, what does "the game doesn't properly recognize Link spin attacking"? At least here, Link's movement is restricted to the spot he's standing at after the cutscene, and whenever you press B, another (here empty) textbox opens - message #1434 - which is right after the four messages before (#1430-1434). Is that what the line on the Wiki meant? -------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... I have no idea about any possible differences since it's been ages since I last played Wind Waker... However, to load up Cave08 in-game, use the following codes: 043C9D3C 43617665 043C9D40 30380000 043C9D44 000203FF 043C9D48 43617665 043C9D4C 30380000 043C9D50 000203FF An extension/modification of the known level loading codes. Those here start you in the second(?) room, from which you can access the other two by going through the door behind Link - note, however, that the doors get blocked once you went through them - or fall off the level by going through the door ahead, or the openable one in the last room. Alternatively, the italic 0x02 in the codes determine the starting room, either 0x01, 0x02 or 0x03. Modifying those codes might also allow loading up of other otherwise "unloadable" maps; ex. I'm pretty sure I got E3ROOP to load up once, complete with skybox, etc. but I can't for the life of me reproduce that <.< Edit: The non-loading TF_07 - several doors, all blocked by metal bars; you fight several enemies in succession, after defeating the final one a chest with a Silver Rupee and the exit appear, exiting took me to the pier at Outset Island. Is this really unused? Wouldn't look out of place at some random island or something... 043C9D3C 54465F30 043C9D40 37000000 043C9D44 000001FF 043C9D48 54465F30 043C9D4C 37000000 043C9D50 000001FF ![]() -------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... Was riding down a rather steep street on my bike when I was 13 or so, when I hit a serious dent/hole in the road. I don't remember the accident exactly, but the bike toppled over, I flew over the handlebars and landed head first on the ground. A passerby called an ambulance, I got to the hospital, wasn't diagnosed with any serious injuries but had to stay overnight (during which I could not sleep at all; I distinctly remember thinking stuff like "school's starting right about now" when it was 7:45 am or whenever). Only later, and only through my mother I learned that, if I had not worn a helmet that day, I would have likely sustained severe head injuries and died. -------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... And as for how I make them, lines 1 and 2, as well as 4 and 5 are simply the scene name (thus ex. Siren, M_Dai, etc) in ASCII and padded with 0x00, while the 3rd and 6th lines are parameters of some kind for scene loading. The syntax for that sadly isn't the same for all levels, but often either the 2nd or 3rd byte is the room number. -------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... So, stuff happened over the last few months. Everyone already knows, I assume, but still. The anime's getting a US release courtesy of Aniplex USA, complete with an English dub even (tho I don't care about that part). And seeing how German publishers are useless, I suppose I'll be importing the US DVDs once they come out. In addition, a PSP game has been announced a week or so ago. Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable will be a Rougelike with (apparently) visual novel elements, as well as branching scenarios and such, and will be another game to tack "Portable" onto the main series title. The game will be released in Japan in March 2012. (And my copies of the 3 Madoka manga have arrived today, but no one cares about that )-------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... Why is Sony even wasting R&D money on that new PSP? Okay, ripping out the Wi-Fi module, some buttons and a speaker shouldn't cost much development-wise, tho someone must've still gotten paid ex. to design the case. Also, are Wi-Fi chips really expensive enough for them to think that not putting them in will save costs? I figured they were cheap as hell, a few cents or so when bought in bulk, and material to use as an antenna should be in there anyway, the screen's frame or something. And fun fact: There's now more PSP models than DS models, unless I miscounted. -------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... Long story short (hopefully ), I've got a 30GB notebook HDD that appears to be on its way out. Whenever I start the system, everything works fine for 30 minutes or so, at which point - if I shut it down or enter standby mode - the HDD disappears, if in standby Windows BSODs on wake up, and stops being recognized by the BIOS. If I then leave the machine off for some amount of time (didn't measure how long), the HDD reappears and everything's fine until the cycle repeats.I'm guessing it's a heat issue of some kind, maybe with the drive controller or so, considering those timespans of being recognized and working, and then not working at all for a time. But then again, as it doesn't seem to stop responding while the system is running - I mean, I only fixed that system up and installed and updated XP w/ SP1 on it a few days ago, during which it worked perfectly - it might be something else. Basically, while I realize I should be getting a new drive for it ASAP, I'm still wondering if anyone has experienced something like this before or has any concrete idea what the problem might be? -------------------- |

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE. >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE. >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN... Turning the notebook on, there's two short clicks, then a second or so nothing, then two high-pitched but very quiet noises, one for ~3 seconds, the other, slightly higher-pitched one for 1-2, then again nothing. Interestingly, the noise also kinda shows in the BIOS's boot-up progress bar (it's a Dell Latitude C640, btw) - during the first noise, the bar extends slowly, then right when the higher-pitched one becomes audible, it goes faster, then jumping ahead to 3/4 or so when the noise stops. I hope that explanation makes sense... -------------------- |

I seem to recall that Bottles' Glasses (level viewer by cooliscool, mainly for Banjo-Kazooie) had support for DK64 in some form, although I'm not absolutely sure. And neither do I know where you can download it anymore; your best bet is probably The RWP's forums or some other Rare forum. -------------------- |
