Good work so far, you've followed references from 'Super Mario Bros.' games as well as possible from what I understand. I was doing this a while ago, but yours is more complete so I'll gladly sit back in eager anticipation. Yes, I definitely want to see this finished, keep up the splendid job.

Hm, interesting. You may as well include the 2 minute trigger code just for archive's sake and those using emulators.

Try holding Alt and pressing Tab until you select an icon entitled 'Open', then let go of Alt. Sometimes the window is hidden for me.

I suggest you add support for the European kiosk demo of "New Super Mario Bros.", for archive's sake.

My idea is that you find out what the problem is (using this forum's resources) and then fix that problem. This thread may help.

And what of the major flaws in this hack (Yoshi, Propeller Mushroom, Penguin Suit, new objects and sprites?) How will you find a work-around for these flaws, or do you plan to implement them?

I have previously tried to extract SM64DS textures, and have found there is currently only one known way of extracting the textures directly from the game. The answer lies on this very site, in this post.

Originally posted by Joe I for one favour this idea, texture extraction is one step towards importation, and it is always positive to see the possibilities of hacking broaden in any field. Also, these textures are the most recently revised copies of the previous textures, so people may prefer to use them over Nintendo 64 textures for future hacks... |

May I suggest you add all links to the individual progress of each hack? GBAtemp.net has forum posts concerning some of these hacks, it would be best to include them in your list for archive's sake.

I think you should list the releases of singular levels if you want to. There is always a possibility someone would look for those singular levels for a quick play or to use as a base for their custom level. Actually, considering some people might modify a level for their own purposes, maybe you should note which singular levels are allowed to be changed or otherwise (according to the creators of those levels.)

Originally posted by Zero OneSomewhat, yes. You could leave the model texture-less and have random SM64 textures placed over the imported model. You could also extract the original textures from SM64 using TT64, position those over your model and save them as a .mtl file. Don't worry, this is the help section so you're allowed to be annoying to a point. But you can be as brilliant as you like .

Though, the polygon colours of her hair would still need changing if you were to remake Daisy. Wasn't VL-Tone going to add support for recolouring polygons? In the mean time, there's a gameshark code here that allows you to modify Peach's hair in the (U) version of SM64. You could modify the colour code to your liking and then patch it to SM64 using this guide.

This place is big. This place is way too big. I've pretty much resided in the hacking forums. I actually haven't done anything other than read the rules, post there and make my profile spiffy. So I figured I'd check out the other areas of Jul today. ... I'm going to stay in the hacking forums .

Vol. 1 Tips for when your bathroom is flooded by hungry zombies, whilst you are bathing in your shower: *Don't panic; if you're like me then you would have already constructed your shower out of a bullet-proof glass cube, with air-tight locks and artillery emplacements. *Sponges or sponge cloth is a deadly weapon in the hands of a trained assassin. Pour washy liquid onto the sponge and rub thoroughly. Now, hold both sides of the sponge and push inwards and outwards vigorously. This will launch bubbles at rapid speeds in the given direction, enough to push back the strongest of dead people. *If I've read my infos correctly, then zombies are usually brought about by evil rituals/curses. Now, evil things HATE smiley faces. In every movie I've seen where an evil person sees a picture of someone smiling, they usually rip it up or throw darts at it while spitting curse words under their breath. This means that the best temporary defence would be to fog up the glass sides of your shower and draw large smiley faces to ward off the zombies. *The chainsaw doesn't work very well after water has been poured over it. Obviously it was a bad choice to leave the chainsaw in the shower then, wasn't it? *Don't forget to wash behind your ears, or god help your soul. In closing, it would probably be better to not be in your shower when zombies attack. (On a related note, a large group of zombies marched through my town yesterday. 'Twas fun to see, more people should do stuff like that.) Ciao. -------------------- Mmbop bopadeebadow!

Vol. 2 Tips for when you wish to annoy people: *You don't have to make people punch themselves while chanting "stop hitting yourself." That takes effort, and effort is time, money, blood, sweat, tears and other important things. Instead, draw a picture of you making your target hurt themselves in the desired fashion. Then wave this picture in front of the target and chant "stop hypothetically causing damage to your person!" *Cutting people off mid-sentence is a grAs well as refusing to finish your sen *Setting the clock backwards is good for beginners, but tricking your target to travel backwards in a time machine is great for a lovely finish. *Buckets are annoying, even to myself. Imagine what could be in them! Paint, jelly, piranhas, piranhas, piranhas or anything else devastating! Go down to your local bucket store and pick up an A-Grade bucket (watch out for walruses,) then go down to the local harmful pet store and pick up some piranhas like we agreed. Go to your target's house, and fill the bucket with water. Take a sip. With your thirst quenched, grab the piranhas out of your pocket and start throwing them at your target. Watch as hilarity ensues. *Plan and construct a railroad through your target's entire house. Pfft, not a real one. Just your average toyset kind. Make sure it covers every area of the floor, and other flat surfaces. After you have finished, destroy the house. Now, plan and construct a railroad where your target's house used to be. In closing, these methods have been properly tested by the world's leading maniacs. Ciao. -------------------- Mmbop bopadeebadow!
