You may be coming off too strong, or for whatever reason, she's not sure she wants to be with you anymore but doesn't want to hurt your feelings by telling you straight up. In awkward situations like this, it's very easy to push people away without trying. My experience has been that the harder you try to make things like this work out the way you want, the more you'll unintentionally fuck it up. I'd say give her space. Lots of space. Let her come to you, and at least for the time being, stop pursuing her. She may also have issues she needs to work out on her own.

You may even want to designate a period of time when you'll have nothing to do with her at all, like a few months or something. If she calls you up and wants to know what's wrong during that time, then you know she still cares. Tell her you were afraid of ruining your friendship because you got signals that you thought meant she wanted to be left alone. If she doesn't call at all during that time, things are probably unrecoverable and she's moved on for better or worse.

Yeah I'm not saying that all Axe buyers are dumb or anything, I'm just saying that all of Axe's commercials make it excruciatingly clear exactly what stereotype of a target market they want to buy their product, so actually they are insulting you by assuming that all Axe buyers fall into that stereotype. If anything, I think it insults most potential buyers by giving the product a stigma. What about the people who like the scent of Axe or want to try it, but don't want to be associated with the over horny booby obsessed teen retards who actually think this stuff is a chick magnet? Commercials like this just turn that market off, and it gives you no information about the product at all. This is what you call exclusive advertising.

They are clearly counting on people to buy this shit from pure impulse and hormones without giving it a second thought. In fact, they are deliberately marketing AGAINST anyone who would buy this product after thinking about it by giving them nothing to think about. That tells me that this company knows that if someone intelligent actually thought about what they were buying they wouldn't buy it, and that makes me severely question the quality of this product. I mean with advertising like this, you could just have water in there and the product would still get the same reaction.

Um, it would probably be easier for me to posts groups that I like in another language as opposed to songs. This would include anything Cirque Du Soleil has ever produced (of course that's a made up language so not sure if that counts), Deep Forest, A few german industrial songs, some stuff by Qntal, hordes of random goth bands who sample every language under the sun (but mostly latin), and I guess you could throw Enigma and Delerium into the mix too if sampling is tolerated. Also I like anything that makes use of Gregorian Chants, and there's various film score I like that either uses made up languages (like Lord of the Rings), or has epic latin singing choirs or chants. I also like Loreena McKennitt's cover of Noel Novoulex. Also, this song:

Also, the font looks a little... organic? I know its the same font from the ad, but I don't think it conveys the feel of what the Wiki is all about. I love the binary in the background and the design concept though, but yeah, it looks like our logo has no Ts in it.

I kind of outgrew Linkin Park. They were one of the bands that introduced me to the darker heavier music, but now they just sound too emo/pop for my taste. I like that they are able to evolve their sound though, and that catalyst video looks kind of interesting, but when I think Linkin Park, I think Hybrid Theory/Meteora era since that's when I was really into them, and really I can't even stand that crap anymore unless I'm feeling nostalgic.

Posted on 10-05-10 04:56:56 PM, in Star Trek Voyager on Spike TV (last edited by BlackNemesis13 at 10-05-10 04:58 PM) Link
I used to watch Star Trek TNG, DS9 and VOY on Spike all the time. Then I learned how to download!

When I first saw Voyager, I had my doubts. I didn't think I would like it as much as TNG. To my surprise, my first time watching the series back to back, I actually enjoyed a lot of it more than TNG. Unfortunately, the more I watch it now, the less it holds up over multiple viewings. I'm just constantly reminded of everything they could have done, and should have done, but didn't.

Eventually I came to a conclusion similar to the majority of the Star Trek fanbase, that when you get down to it, Voyager is little more than wasted opportunities and Janeway/federation dogma. I feel that at least half of the characters are actually very interesting (such as 7, Tuvok and the Doctor), while others came off as predominantly bland and pointless when they could have been a whole lot more (Harry and Chakotay). The characters in general felt like a lot more should have been done with them. I like Tom and B'lanna for instance, but whenever they finally got an episode that focused on them, it was usually lackluster when it could have been so much more. The only one that I feel did them justice was Blood Fever.

I still think that on the whole Voyager is a decent TV series, but as a Trek series which is supposed to have far higher standards, Voyager fails and helped to doom the franchise. Watch DS9 if you want to see Star Trek at its height.

Oh yeah, an external hard drive is perfect for stuff like this. Especially since Terabyte drives seem to be the sweet spot right now in terms of best bang for your buck.

Ok, my family and I just got back from a 3 day trip to Branson, MO. We spent 1 day driving out there for 12 hours, 1 day enjoying our vacation, and 1 day driving back for twelve hours. During this time we ate a TON of food that was either very heavy or very high in fiber, including giant hamburgers, steaks, cheesecake, wild boar, wheat bread, wheat toast, cereal, carrots, and rye bread. One of my sisters even ate an entire bag of homemade granola on the way out there and coming back. There were 6 of us on this trip, and we all ate a variety of food.

So why the hell did NONE of us have a bowel movement the ENTIRE time?! We peed plenty but none of us ever had a bowel movement or ever even felt constipated! To make things weirder, once we all got home we ordered a pizza, and 5 minutes after we finished eating it, suddenly we ALL had to have a BM! We had pizza in Branson too and nothing like that happened. Perhaps this is a natural phenomenon that I've never heard of, but I just find this incredibly weird and hilarious!

Yeah every time I try to watch enterprise I just get bored to tears. I don't care about any of the characters, a lot of them seem like jerks, and everything moves so slow! Plus from what reviews I've heard about it, I'm not missing much.

Yeah granola is pure fiber, and fiber makes you go. Especially this kind. It had raw sunflower seeds, rolled oats, mixed nuts, dried fruit, and soluble fiber powder among other things. As for the 24 hours to digest thing, we didn't even have a bowel movement the morning we left meaning that all of the food eaten from Wednesday onward didn't come out until late Saturday night. So that's more like 72+ hours! Only thing I can think of is maybe its due to us spending 24 hours in the car? Idk, I just think the human body is weird.
