I'll get like this sometimes when I am under a lot of stress. That could be your problem. Also, how is your sleep schedule? A continued lack of sleep can build up over time causing negative effects like this too, even if you don't feel tired.

Posted on 05-15-09 08:06:26 PM, in Videogame music you can just listen to all day! (last edited by BlackNemesis13 at 05-15-09 08:13 PM) Link
I have a TON of video game music that I can listen to for hours on end. The old Donkey Kong games alone i still play just for the music, especially DK2. Another favorite song is Dire Dire Dock from Super Mario 64, or Star Hill from SMRPG. As a kid, I actually recorded these songs from my tv onto cassette!

Here are some other favorites that I have actually listened to for over an hour in one sitting.

Downtown, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers
So what if the Power Rangers have been out of style since 1994? The music in this game kicks ass, and almost makes me want to watch the show again everytime I play it.

Floro Sapien Caverns, Super Paper Mario
When I first heard this song, I played the cavern level for hours just so I could keep listening to it. Best part is from 0:42 to 1:04.

True, Silent Hill 2
I've actually never played a Silent Hill game, but this song makes me want too. It definitely appeals to my goth side. There are also some awesome OC remixes of it available.

The Moon, Ducktales
Ducktales is a surprisingly kick ass game, and this song just shows off NES music in all of its glory.

Stardust Speedway Bad Future US, Sonic CD
Actually, just about every song in the all old Sonic Games rock. But Sonic CD is my favorite sonic game, and this song is my favorite song from Sonic CD. My computer actually plays a part of this song at startup

...and WAY more where that came from.

Also, not really a song, but I'm just so sick of American Idol. I'll admit I was all over the first season, and I managed to stomach season two, but by 3 it was all over for me. Now I just completely detest it, and even though I don't even watch TV anymore, I can't go anywhere or listen to anything without being bombarded with it.

Cool, you too? I agree. Reality TV sucks, has really gone downhill, and wasn't that great to begin with. Reality TV is what killed television for me. Hell, I can't even watch Food Network anymore without being constantly bombarded by shit like "next food network star" or any other possible contest they can think of to air for an hour. VH1's just as bad. Actually, anymore I think reality TV is just synonymous with Network Decay.

Yeah. If I watch anything at all, its usually just WOSU, or maybe a talk show if I'm up that late and am in the mood. Instead of TV, I've goten into just watching old shows that have been off the air for years either on the computer or on my DVD player.

Hell yeah! You want to watch "real" survivor, watch Man vs Wild on discovery channel. WAY better, and a lot more actual reality.

But yeah, documentaries and whatnot are the only true actual Reality TV. Unfortunately people apparently prefer to to lower their standards and IQ until both are non-existent rather than attempt to educate themselves

Oh God, while we're at it, lets just say ANYTHING by Nickleback. They didn't bother me when they first came out. They weren't that great, but they didn't annoy me either. Now though, good God. Every frickin song by them is either a rehash of their older songs, (Someday, Saving Me, and Far Away are practicaly the same song) or its an overly desperate attempt to get EVERYONE to relate to the song (i.e. Photograph, Rockstar, Animals). Of course, these end up being the songs that NOBODY relates too. On top of that, they always have to be explicit for no reason at all, except to sell out even more, and they can't write a song worth a damn. Its like this band defines poser rock. None of their music means anything. They just keep churning out everything from the same formula because they know it will get them cash.

Get a big tatoo across both of your shoulder blades and say that. Or right in the middle of your back (meaning across the spine and not off to the side). Different parts of your body are going to have different pain levels for tattoos. The arm by comparison is for wimps.

And hey, if you're really into pain, try removing that sucker in 5-10 years.

That said though, I have nothing against getting a tattoo. I'd rather get a tattoo than a piercing. I often think about getting one actually. Unfortunately I have no idea what I want one of, where I'd want it, or who I'd want to do it, so my body is probably going to be boring for a while.

As for other people getting them, some people can really pull them off and they look nice no matter what age they are. Others though look totally ridiculous and/or tacky. This is usully the case with dumb teenagers who obviously got a cheap tatoo while drunk by some other drunk unknown in the hood doing whatever they can for crack money. They are often extremely simple tatoos, badly drawn, that do nothing for you except be an eyesore, yet the dumbfucks who get them think they are hardasses now because they were stupid enough to make a lumpy messed up outline of the state of Ohio with a nose a permanant feature of their identity. What's really sad is that they don't even realize that it is stupid. They may as well have gotten "I'm a dumbass!" tatooed across their forehead because that is all people see when they look at it, but they think they're cool.

Anyway, if you know who is doing yours, what you want it of, and where you want it, and have thought it through about making it a permanent part of your body as well as the pain factor, then go for it. Just make sure that it doesn't scream "I'm a dumbass!" to anyone who sees it.

Actually admission's not bad. It's more of the cost of the gas to get there, the food, the merchandise, taking the time off of work etc, and then the fact that most of their rides suck compared to other theme parks. Cedar Point kicks Six Flags' ass. Actually, I thought I heard somewhere that Cedar Point bought Six Flags, but maybe I'm thinking of thinking of Kings Island? Anyway yeah. Six Flags only had like two good rides. I personally won't miss them, and I doubt that this will be a continuing trend with the theme parks I actually care about. For example, I doubt that Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure will be going bankrupt anytime soon, especially with the Harry Potter park they plan to open in 2010.

There are two types of people who keep theme parks in business: thrill seekers who always come back year after year to ride the biggest, best, and newest thrill rides, and families who come back year after year because there is a lot for all ages. Too survive, the park needs to continually change for the better, and in a unique way to make them stand out from other parks. Those changes also need to be adequately advertised, both to bring in new customers, and to make sure the old ones know that there is something new worth coming back for. Six Flags failed in all of those areas. I mean, when's the last time you heard of a great new ride at Six Flags? Especially one that was unique to Six Flags and worth making a special trip for? And heck if kids aren't interested in it either, then you are pretty much screwed.

Opera. I only used IE when I didn't know any better, and immediately switched to Firefox when I did. I used firefox for about 2 years and loved it, but slowly a lot of things about it started to irk me. For example, I got addicted to certain add-ons, but installing them all again whenever I did a reformat was a pain, every add-on added unescessary bloat and slow-down, and I really hated how I had to constantly update them just about every time I started the browser.

I looked into Opera to see if I could configure it with all of the things I liked about Firefox. I could, so I switched, and have been happy ever since . Much faster, no crashes, less bloat, and no add-ons to manage and irritate me but still all of the benefits that I cared about. Plus I don't have to worry anymore about my add-ons suddenly not working just becasue I upgraded Firefox to a new version. I also think it looks better, both in UI and in page rendering.

Though it more or less makes a mockery of our education system.

Well yeah! What? They're surprised?

Let it be known that our education system sucks! In fact, I'd almost go as far as saying that it is practically useless in it's current state. I think that on the whole, the people who drop out and get a GED actually learn MORE than people who attend all of high school, and that is sad. Now, maybe I just went to a bad school district, but from what I can tell, these expiriences seem to be commonplace. I am all for letting this be a testament to that fact.

I heard about someone who went to the doctor because his wife had shoved a small ball so far up his ass that they couldn't get it out. The doctors had a hard time getting it out too, so they called in a specialist (although specialist in what I have no clue ). Supposedly, just as the specialist walked in the door, the guy sneezed or something in just the right way, and the ball came shooting out of his ass and hit the specialist in the forehead.

Just something I heard from a friend. I have no idea if it's true or not, but if it is, wth? That would be the weirdest day ever.

You know in Super Mario World when you are fighting bowser, and between each round, the princess throws out a mushroom? I believed that every time that happened, I had to yell in my Peach voice "Help, mario help!" or I would lose the battle. Really more of a good luck thing I guess, but still, I did that for years on end.

Also, in SMW when you play the bonus game after collecting 100 bonus stars, at the end Mario gives a peace sign. I always had to give a peace sign at the same time. I think the music suddenly cutting off freaked my out, and I thought that if I didn't do the peace sign, that my game would freeze, or something equally bad would happen.

Also, I used to be afraid of Midnight. I thought that if I ever saw our red digital clock turn to midnight 12:00 in a dark room, that it would attack me or something. I guess something about those numbers freaked me out. If I was ever up around midnight, (my parents never gave me a bedtime, they were very lenient,) I would actually sleep at the foot of my parents bed so I would be safe, and hide my eyes so it wouldn't "get" me. 12:01 was fine though.
