Heh... I found that one in my mod too. I tried fixing it by making 3 branches rather than 4, but even that left the glitch there... But at least it made it less likely . |

Seeing as level designing will be quicker soon (with the new copy tool), i've decided to stop working on my current level for now, and start a new, much better level. The level will be based in a canyon called "Koopa Canyon" unless I (or someone else) think of a better name. My other level was boring to work on anyway .
Messiaen: If you like, I could help with some of the backgrounds. I'm a better drawer than my textures in my mod are xD.
Edit: Then again, if I did that I probably wouldn't get much level design done, so your decision. It depends how fast you want new levels. As for me, I don't mind either way.

5 levels? Seems ok... but there could be more. I'm willing to make up to 5 just on my own! Besides... Considering how big the hub is going to be, it would seem a little lacking only 5. (Unless of course, the reason you can' fit that many levels in is because of rom restrictions)
Note: About my rom, I am putting a long river through the canyon. Is there I a way I can make it splash when you walk through it? |

Thanks! So far, I've finished making a waterfall and i've added more of the canyon wall. I'm about to start on the first star, it will probably involve climbing up the side of the canyon (see the slope in the pic I posted before) and having to fight enemies on the way. I had an idea for another star: having to go kill a boss who blocked the waterfall with a log, in this star the river will be gone. Well, that's all from me for now. Off I go then...

well, Im not entirely sure what you want me to do to my level . Did you want me to try to get rid of glitches? Because I don't know what glitches there are . And by the way, the night and day idea sounds great! But for some reason the video isn't working...
Edit: Ah! I remember now. You wanted to see what I could add to my mod with the new features of the base patch! Ok then, i'll try to find some time to do that .

Wow, your progress is amazing Messian! I love the day and night cycle, but does it change if you're just standing still, or haven't you done that yet? And the scale tool is just what I need! If it's not any trouble, please patch my canyon level to that mod:

| I can't seem to change the behaviour to 0x5370, it just turns itself into 5730. Is this because the patch you gave me doesn't have the base patch, or must I have an option selected? |

Sweet, it worked! The only downside is that it doesn't show the size change in TT64.
Edit: One last thing, could you tell me how to disable the water splashing feature you added? Its good, but its annoying when I'm testing my level. You could add it again later when I've given you the finished level. |

Thanks Messian, but for some reason, In my hex editor I found it at: 1214FEE|00|42|00|01 (Of course, it still worked). And sure, I think an island level is a great idea. I would be quite happy to make it, and yes the scaling will be a huge advantage!
Edit 11-21-08: This is driving me nuts! I'm up to making the area outside the canyon but whenever i put a block of land down, Mario falls through It! Do you know of any code to stop this from happening? |

Edit: For now, Im getting a bit tired of just working on the one, difficult to design, canyon level. How about I make a start on the island level then get back to the canyon one later? Messiaen: Ive only just started actually . It turns out I was using the wrong patches for each thing, so I sorted that out and took a look at it in PJ64. It's looking good, and i'll enjoy working on it . |

| Okay, I'm making the "obstacle course" that will lead to the unlocking of flat lava land. I think that you should make the volcano and place the chain chomp at the top of my obstacle course though, because there aren't enough pieces for me to do that (In jolly roger bay, there are few pieces). |

Hello everyone, been a while! The progress on the team hack is looking great!
Anyway... Sorry Messiaen i didn't give you the path leading to the chain chomp. Unfortunately, my computer failed before i got a chance to post it and i lost the patch along with a lot of other stuff D:.
So, would you still like me to make the water-island level or should i wait until the model importer is released?
Luckily most of my important stuff i either uploaded or put on usb/disk.
Im still willing to make another level after the first release (or before) if you like, with or without the model importer . |

| Seeing as "Mario and the missing stars" is almost complete, I have begun working on my own Mario64 total conversion hack. It will consist of no hub, but 6 levels (and stars) with the theme of the original Mario bros only in 3d. What i mean by this, is Mario bros, only with bricks forward, back, and sides. An example is "Super paper Mario" when you flip into 3D. |

After completing each level it takes you back to the star select screen. Each star you select is a new level, this is done simply using the act settings. I will post some screen shots once i finish level 1.
Edit: I think a simple but appropriate name would be Mario Bros 64
Edit 2: I just realised that gamekrazzy is already making a game with a similar name. I will think of a new one soon. Please do not think i'm trying to steal his idea, as i begun making this a while ago and posted on the forum before actually reading the previous posts, so i didn't know that he was using a similar idea.
I actually got the idea from Super Paper Mario.
