| They are DEPRIVED of foreskin? honestly. what. seriously. what. I've seen some stupid shit on this board, but this thread honestly takes the cake. I was circumcised as an infant. Ask me if I give a single damn in hindsight that I don't have some unsightly, dangly disease trap at the end of my junk. Go on, ask me. (pro tip: I don't) The fact that any single person could get butt-hurt over this is absolutely impossible for me to grasp. good hygiene and safe sex may HELP prevent a lot of these things, but circumcision is also a reasonable and arguably even responsible step in doing so. Honestly, parents generally know what is best for their children medically at that age, and I absolutely believe in good faith that mine made a very informed decision to do so for such medical reasons. Answer me this: does being circumcised honestly deprive the child of any quality of life? is it preventing them from experiencing and enjoying the same things as those who are uncircumcised? the answer is no, and if you think otherwise, your opinion is wrong. That article Kles linked to is also hilarious. I have never had any issues with orgasming or premature ejaculation. But since we like studies and statistics so much, how does this sound: I get 200% more ass because my junk doesn't look weird. edit: oh, yeah, and the woman in this news article is crazy etc. don't do that |

oh god what have i createdOriginally posted by hydrapheetz I can't say much as I enjoy the competitive Pokemon scene and all, but in that case they specifically program in certain elements designed only for competitive battling (such as the EV berries and IV checking NPCs) Smash was always intended as a party game which is why the tournament fighter crowds always have a cow about how unbalanced everything is. Really, its funny, because the competitive fighters for the game seem to really have mostly complaints regarding it. Wasn't Brawl+ created to make the game tournament-friendly? if it gets to the point where you have to modify the game's code itself, you probably shouldn't bother I'm not saying you can't try and have fun and make something out of it, but the game was never meant to be that way and the fact that people get all srs business and therefor make it NOT fun is what ruins it. Its also why there's only very few people left I can actually ENJOY playing Smash Bros. with but that's just my two cents. People can do whatever the they want!

| when I was three, my uncle told me Duck Hunt was "shoot the doggy" and everyone thought this was hilarious ):< my first REAL experience with gaming however was with the Game Boy at four years old. I had played an extended family member's handheld extremely briefly and was instantly hooked. Christmas of that same year rolls around and I receive my very own, with Kirby's Dream Land and Dr. Mario. I later sold off Dr. Mario (I knew not what I had ) and got Balloon Kid, which became one of my favorite games of all time. The Kirby series had such a huge, massive impact on my imagination growing up that I can honestly say had it not been my first game, I may not have even gotten hooked on video games so hard in the first place!Skip ahead maybe a year or two, and I randomly decided as a kid that with mother's day and father's day, there should totally be a child's day because I clearly don't get enough shit as it is! Surprisingly, my parents obliged this twice (the first time I got this neat dominos set) and on the second day which I'm more than certain I pulled out of my ass and was probably even within the same year as the first, my dad surprised me greatly with a gift of a Super Nintendo! It came packed with Super Mario World AND Mario Paint, the latter a game I never expected to fall so much in love with. Sadly, many years later I would sell this system to fund a PS1, a console I would later then sell to get another SNES it was seriously the single biggest mistake I ever made. The SNES and its games had such a massive impact on my childhood, my imagination would soar through the roof just by playing games on these two consoles of mine. Really, people would think that a kid that age so hooked on gaming would sit inside and do nothing else. Not even true. Games like Mario World would have me going outside in to the large expanse of woods in my back yard and pretending it was the Forest of Illusion, or that various structures made of rock and dead tree formations were the lost city of Kremlantis from Donkey Kong Land. Hell, I'd even pretend that this one cul de sac was part of that concrete looking area from Great Cave Offensive. I used to collect various things people might think were junk that to me I would pretend were things from games. I once had a rather appealing, translucent looking rock which I painted green with water colors (lol) and pretended was the plasma power-up from Kirby Super Star. I even placed red-ish orange food coloring in some water and added it to a plastic toy beaker and pretended my grandmother's basement was subspace. I think no game has ever had a huger impact on my imagination though than that of Pokemon, which to this day still continues to inspire me with imagery galore. Something about those games always made me feel such a real connection with my surroundings, like I could relate aspects of the game (exploring in woods, traveling to places by bike you might not have seen, etc) to things I would do myself, and it was excellent. To this day, Pokemon remains the game for which I hold the strongest connection with, I guess you could say its like a part of my childhood lives on through these games. Were it not for these two consoles I'd probably not only not be the gamer I am today, but also the person. While its true in this current day and age I don't play nearly as many games as I used to (its so different now!) and I remain mostly a handheld gamer, though not entirely, I still cannot deny gaming as such an influential part of my history. |

| Reshiram said it best. It isn't meant to be balanced so much as it is meant to be a game to have fun playing as your favorite character against another unlikely character! |

Something like Pokemon was designed with competitiveness in mind, despite my own personal opinions about some of the elitism that goes on there making it slightly less fun. Smash Bros. is not meant to be a competitive game. It was not designed with this in mind like a traditional fighting game. If it was, it would have HP bars and be "fair" and each character would take the same amount of hits to defeat and blahbity blah blah. seriously. its not meant to be a competitive game, and it took the modification of the damn thing's code to make it as such. also bmf you are my hero. |
