Kirby: I wonder if she considered putting her school uniform underneath that cloth as a precaution. It didn't look like it would stand up to much of anything.

Kirby stood still for a moment, scratching his chin. He shook his head and then looked at Yuuko.

Kirby: Um.. Tanikiri-san? Isn't that kinda cheating? I mean, cheating yourself out of making cookies. Ooh..

He suddenly tilted his head. Something hit him.

Kirby: I wonder if the teacher will let us put frosting on these. Like, writing the letters out in frosting.

Meanwhile, at the library...

Tom: Well. Maybe that should help clear anyone's mind of her being a guy or a girl.

Tom soon felt a elbow in his side.

Tom: Ow! What was that for, Sam?

Sam, Tom's forever straight man, glared at his bespectacled friend.

Sam: Don't be rude, Tom!

Tom: Rude? How am I being rude? Hey, you're blushing. See? You were thinking the same thing.

Sam: How about you shut your mouth!?

Sam covered Tom's mouth with his hands, trying his best to keep his friend silent.

There were mixed reactions throughout the library. From excitement to embarrassment. The usual reactions from an incident like this.

Except for that one blonde girl with purple streaks in her hair. She just shook her head and went back to reading. Why should she care? She's not an important character.

Kirby gritted his teeth as he watched Yuuko fall to the ground. He stared for one second, from pure shock, before getting onto the floor to help Yuuko up.

Kirby: Tanikiri-san! Let me help you up. You shouldn't wear an apron that big! Ah, hold on, lemme see if you're bruised.

After Kirby washed his hands, he headed towards a cabinet the other students had gone to. He opened the door and focused on the contents. There were several bags of sugar.

For some reason, there was a strong starry look in Kirby's eyes.

Of course, Rain was the only one that wasn't a few cards short of a full deck in the room.. There would be no way that a girl with purple streaks in her hair, and a gothy appearance that somehow made it past the school codes of conduct couldn't be a few cards short of a full deck.

Kirby decided to deviate a little with the basic cookie design. His cookies had different appearances than the usual cookies, such as a checkerboard look. He gave a quick cookie count. Twelve of them. He almost wished he had more letters in his name.

He kneeled down besides the oven beneath a table and places the cookies on a rack underneath someone else's cookies. He then grabbed an egg timer and moved towards his backpack as he set what should be the appropriate time for the cookies to bake.

Suddenly, his face was overcome with a serious look.

Kirby: Tch. I forgot to properly measure this stuff.

He sighed before smiling.

Kirby: Well, it should be fine. I haven't run into any problems yet.

Miss Laruto: Yeah, it is totally cool, little one. You are all allowed to put any extra stuff on.

Kirby sat on a stool near the oven with his cookies. He let out a short sigh. He can definitely see that it was the right choice to have gone to a land based school. He was bored, but it would be only so long before he finds something to kill time with. He always had something to do out on the sea, but the moment he got on land, there was nothing for him to do when he had to wait for long periods of time.

"I just gotta figure out what I can do.."

Kirby: Huh?

Suddenly, Kirby's stool made a scraping sound and wobbled to a side. Kirby quickly stomped one foot down on the ground to regain his balance. Had he not put his foot down, he would have fallen on his back as his seat fell off the stool.

Kirby stumbled backwards, trying to find his footing. However, there just happened to be a bunch of students walking by. Kirby tried his best to shift his weight around to stumble around the other students. He then collided with a table, and let out a sigh as his stumbling was stopped.

Kirby: Whew..

And then his timer went off, startling him. The egg timer flew into the air as he flinched from the alarm.

Kirby: Gah! Not this!

He tried reaching for the egg timer, but he could not get a grip. The timer was popped back up into the air after each unsuccessful attempt. He finally managed to catch the timer... after it bounced off of Yuuko's head.

Kirby: Ah... er.. sorry.

He remained motionless, glancing at Yuuko with a very nervous look.

He quickly looked around and found an unused rag laying around. He quickly picked it up and went over to clean up the frosted mess.

Kirby: Eh... And looked good, too. What a waste of frosting..

Miss Laruto: Oh, the floor was cleaned last night. Except for a possible gnarly tangy taste, that frosting's totally good for consumption.

Kirby: Uh.. I think I'll pass on that.

She pointed at a cabinet that seemed to have a mess of cookware sticking out.

Kirby: .... !!

Kirby quickly dove for the oven he was using. He grabbed the oven mitts and opened up the oven. He let out a short sigh.

Kirby: I'm glad I set the alarm for less time..

He pulled out his tray and dumped the cookies onto another tray.

Kirby: They're just going to be as chewey as I hoped for. Oh well. At least I have a non-salty snack!

He smiled as he went to take care of cleaning the tray he used to bake the cookies.

Sirens went off everywhere in the school, including the lower grade school buildings.

In one of the rooms in the B building..

Sarah: Miss Laruto? Like, what's going on? I totally would've known that there was a fire drill planned for today.

The students in the Home Economics class looked at each other, wondering what was going on. The teacher fixed her glasses as she went over to her desk, which was littered with random papers.

Miss Laruto: I did not get the memo that there would be one. I'm sensing some unruly vibes right now.

Suddenly, everyone was being doused by the overhead sprinklers. One person yelled out "It's a fire", sending everyone into a panic.

Miss Laruto: Class! Mellow out! We.. uh.. Uh.. Aha. The back door. Everyone out the back door.

She pointed at the door that had a push bar on it.

Miss Laruto: Leave all of your possessions behind and calmly walk out through the door... ah...

Most of the students were not paying attention to the teacher the moment the back door was pointed out. They all immediately dropped their cooking items and made a mad dash for the door.

Kirby: I don't understand, what's going on here? Can't we just put out which ever oven's on fire? Gack!

Kirby was nearly run over by one of the students. He soon found himself inside a crowd and pushed outside.

Kirby: ... Hey, it's the parking lot. Er.. Can someone explain to me what's going on?

Sarah: Duh! There's a fire!

Kirby: But a something like an oven fire can easily be taken care of.

Sarah: No one would've pulled the fire alarm for some silly reason like that.

Kirby: Fire alarm? Oh, is that what that loud noise was?

Sarah: Like, ya! Were you, like, under a rock all your life?

Kirby: Er, no, I was living on the sea.

Sarah Rhys was thrown off by Kirby's response. She slowly tried to turn her head away from Kirby.

Sarah: Wait... could you possibly be.. Oh! What am I still doing here? I totally need to speak with the faculty about this!

Kirby: Huh?

Sarah put on a very serious face before quickly moving across the parking lot.

Random Female Student: Sarah! Where are you going?

Random Female Student 2: Sarah!

Sarah: Stay with the teacher. I need to see if they'll let me help out.

He did not get a response from Yuuko for a while. He looked around the slowly thinning crowd. None of them seemed to have paid any mind to what Yuuko did.

Kirby: Huh...

He then noticed Sarah Rhys walking back to the class.

Random Female Student: Sarah!

Random Female Student 2: Sarah! What happened?

Sarah: It might be, like, a total false alarm. I asked one of the cybernetic kids to spot the trouble, but they couldn't see a fire.

Random Female Student: Could there be something else wrong?

Sarah: Like, none of the teachers knew what the problem was. We won't know until the principal's back.

Random Female Student: Back? Where is he?

Sarah: No one knows.

Kirby looked away. "I bet he forgot how to post as the principal."

Her voice was loud enough to surely catch Viarra and Teyla's attention.

Goth Girl - Either one of you been to this school before this school year? Did any of you think that whatever made that sound was made by people who didn't know any better? You know, running out thinking they were going to help out?

Sarah: Even if there's no fire, it's still totally dangerous to be running around inside.

Miss Laruto: Miss Rhys is right. The fire part in fire alarm does not mean much in a school like this. There can be any number of gnarly things that would warrant an alarm.

Random Female Student: Does it rule out the possibility of a prank?

Miss Laruto: Unfortunately, no. But if it's a prank... Well..

She glanced at Sarah. The student shrugged.

Miss Laruto: We do not really know what fate would befall that unfortunate soul.

Some students began wondering what terrible thing would happen to a student if they were to pull off a prank like this and was caught. Laruto and Sarah tried their best to look away from the other students, putting on rather nonchalant faces.

She closed her book, picked up her backpack, and slowly stood up. She then started walking south, heading towards the back of the library.

And then she pushed open the door that lead out to the school courtyard.
