If you want to make something work across ALL browsers (including Internet Explorer, let's not exclude it just because it sucks) then I would recommend against using any form of transparency that will not work in all browsers. People don't want to read on the internet. Nobody is going to read shit. "Guidelines", "Rules", "Frequently Asked Questions" or whatever you want to call it -- not going to get read. How much do you read on the internet? Do you read anything that doesn't interest you? Bet you don't even read things that sites attempt to "force" you to read and agree to, do you? I know I sure as fuck don't. The only way you are going to ensure that bad layouts don't go "live" on the forum is to have an approval system coded into the forum so accounts MUST be approved to become "live". 	Pretty much everyone in Australia has a bandwidth limit of some sort. Most ISPs deal with things by packet shaping you if you go over. I could really care less about bandwidth limits though. If you are going to use a serif font, please use Georgia. Georgia is a font specifically designed for the screen -- it is pretty much the most readable serif font for the screen. If you would like to use a sans-serif font, I recommend Verdana. Verdana was designed by the same guy who made Georgia, and again was designed for the screen. It should be the most readable sans-serif font for the screen. Other than that, it looks good. Ah. Yes, well I tend to specify a specific font first. Georgia is a "web safe" font, in that it will work in all versions of Windows and also on Mac OS X (Apple have bought font licencing for all the core "web fonts" from Microsoft) If you want to know which are the "safe" fonts, etc, go see this page: Common fonts to all versions of Windows and Mac Equivalents. I stick to Georgia and Verdana for nearly everything though myself. You can probably get pretty creative. I don't think I've ever had any problems with my layouts breaking the pages, and I tend not to hold back with my code. At all. It's just important to test thoroughly in various browsers first. 	I generally try to avoid using position unless I absolutely have to. I've not yet found a good reason for me to use it in a post layout so I've never used it. The table summary attribute should be used to describe
