I have three widescreen monitors. Although one is Derek's and I am borrowing it for artwork purposes.

I like them a lot. Not that I dislike standard aspect monitors but with artwork and all I really do appreciate the additional screen real-estate.

I love table-less layouts. Mine generally are table-less, I CSS.

I'm also amused that so many people insist on hanging on to tables for layout. It's just so wrong. I'd go into the technical reasons why, but there is always the fact that this is a forum, nobody gives a shit and the technical reasons don't really matter here.

Xkeeper -- in which browser? I did test this (admittedly, last year) in IE, Firefox, Safari, etc and it worked fine, but perhaps I have not copied the code over correctly from another forum. Also could you describe the nature of the "break" ?

Imajin -- One of the main reasons they don't use Tables anymore is it's become very important to seperate layout from content. For the purposes of this forum it doesn't really matter.

Tables load slower than CSS, so CSS for layouts can make pages load faster. It also lowers your hosting costs as less data is continually sent to browers. It makes redesigning easier and more effiicent (depending on how they are implemented) improves search engine results, makes it easier to bring visual consistency across an entire website, and is more accessible than tables.

I'm guessing none of you guys give a shit about search engine optimisation, consistency or people with disabilities, but you might care about bandwidth costs.

Oh! And I think I know the cause of the layout breaky I have. I haven't set up hotlinking for "rustedmagick.com" on my webhosting. That's not caused by CSS. That's an Apache (.htaccess) thing.

EDIT: Yes, it's to do with my hosting. It is not allowing users at http://jul.rustedmagick.com to view images hosted on my server. I attempted to fix but I got Fatal Error: Unable to read data from /dev/urandom (Permission denied). Please contact your system admin to have them repair the problem. so meh. The pictures will load once it is fixed.

In the meantime, it looks like this and as far as I know doesn't break on the forum (I've never had any problems) except for when hotlinking is broken. Also, you've all seen it before anyway.

I am surprised ANY image is working. But like I said in my edit above, it will all fix itself when my webhost allows me to modify my hotlinking settings to allow to this domain.
