I just feel it could be reviewed/explained a lot better without resorting to AVGN-style gross-out hyperbole.

You have no idea how angry that Holiday Special made me, as a Star Wars fan. Logical direction of verbal explanations were destroyed (much like my expectations of said special) and recombined into a hate-fueled tirade, much like a figurative atomic reaction of sheer animosity.

I used to play competitively, so, I never used any of them. For plowing through the game, Venusaur for his insane Razor Leaf.
Still, Venusaur dies to a STAB Psychic from just about any of the standards in competitive, Charizard eats Rock Slides like a bitch, and Blastoise can't kill much of anything fast enough to warrant me using it over a better Water type, like Slowbro, Starmie, or Lapras. My team usually was a mixed bag of awesome competitive Pokemon, namely Starmie, Rhydon, Exeggutor, Alakazam, Chansey, Persian, and maybe some others I'd rotate in and out.
