So that 4 Nin Uchi Mahjong hack I've been doing is ready for the first releasable version! I even managed to keep it within the same ROM file size as the original game (though I had to cut out the easter egg at the start of the ROM file).

All the in-game messages and yaku are translated using the same "sitelen pona" logography. The game does a clever little thing where it encodes two separate characters in one 16x16 space with palette tricks, and I managed to keep it working.

The title screen was more of a result of how the game already stores the title screen:

There are 8 usable tiles (empty space, filled space, four circular corners, two angled corners) and each byte stores either two tiles or a command to output either a sequence of empty or filled spaces) and I basically went with that system to write the title of the game.

My translated title screen is a bit stylized, but is mostly a straight "sitelen pona" rendering of the actual title. Here's an explanation pic.

That's just the version of Super Mario Bros. from the bootleg 9999-in-1 cartridge (the one that has "Unchained Melody" as its menu soundtrack).

Applied a security update to my smartphone, and now it doesn't see the SIM card... Though given that I also unlocked its bootloader previously and rooted the phone, it might be my fault or even an anti-rooting mechanism :-(

So, uh, an organization called "GlobalNR" held a poll in Brazil, China, Germany, India, Italy, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, the U.K. and the U.S. on different questions regarding gender equality and such issues.

And the place where I live, apparently, happens to have the worst results on many of the questions.

Russians polled second highest (after China) on believing traditional gender roles are good, highest (18%) on believing women shouldn't have jobs, lowest on thinking same-sex couples should marry and that there should be more women on top positions of companies and organization, and 43% of Russians feel offended by the existence of trans people (for comparison, that value is 20% in Germany, 15% in Thailand and only 10% in the U.S. and Brazil).

Sounds absolutely awful...

Got a copy of Divekick in a giveaway, and turns out it's a fun little game. It's basically a fighting game with only two buttons and one hit kills where you try to divekick into the other player without opening yourself up too much.
