I mentioned this in another thread but Mypal has really gotten me out of binds with older systems that I keep seeing where people either really want XP to run for one reason or another or refuse outright. Believe it's based off Firefox 3 and the design sure shows it but it runs fairly well, even on an Atom-based netbook (with realistic limitations). Enough to run YT at 360p without it stuttering all over the place, at least.

I wish DotEmu would give us some sort of an update on this. I started getting excited we might hear something when they made mention of them taking care of Advance Wars getting redone on the Switch but then I never heard anything about this...

Ahhh okay. Yea the closest I've done for running something similar was Manjaro and it was fairly good on older machines but I ended up going Fedora in the end.

And, thanks. MATE-Compiz. It was the closest thing I could find to when I started with Mint and the MATE DE with it. Moved on the Fedora some time ago and it's basically similar to what I liked and I've kept it since.

It's been a solid 90 for the past few days and feels like it's going to continue to be more of the same throughout the week. But that's actually mild in comparison to how the summers usually get around here. I imagine we'll be getting our fair share of hell come end of July or start of August...especially with getting next to 20" of snow during the one hell storm through the South...at least by the terms of it comprising of the amount of snow we'd get here in a decade in one go, anyways.

Usually when we have rough winters like that they're followed by high heat.

A friggin' mess. Network drive in this shot is an attached Raspberry Pi4, 4GB, running Recalbox that I've only started working on...so it still has a good amount of space on it.
