Unless you're hyper paranoid, you really don't have to run every bit of security software under the sun. Ever since the advent of secure boot, the amount of virus cases I've actually had have dwindled to nothing. Even ransomware cases have pretty much gone to businesses exclusively as targets, usually through Exchange. It's money thrown away anymore.

Most I'll give an individual on a start of their new system, or after a recovery from some scam (most common thing I'll see as compromise anymore), is uBlock Origin in their primary browser. That's it. There is no longer any need for anything else. Browsers are the hardest hit piece of software for a standard user but if you put at least something in like that, you're fine 99.9% of the time unless you commit digital suicide and go somewhere you obviously shouldn't.

I've actually had a good set of neighbors in the last two. The most recent moved in a week or two ago but it's an old lady by herself and she works nights. For the most part, absolutely no noise.

Go back a few though and you have people that were next to me that didn't know that a drum set goes through six inches of soundproofing.

If you're going to take the time to take on that challenge, I'd say do it all the way and find all the secret items, one in each level. Doing so will unlock the final level and, by extension, the good ending. It'll take some effort to do, though.

Also, stage 2's boss is easier if you can make it to the end in a certain amount of time. The alarm won't go off and you can cheese the boss.

If you reset on a level then you would have to get the item again. Has to be done before a boss is cleared on any stage. You'll know you did it at the world map with a special icon for it once done...and definitely when you get all six.

I appreciate it. I just had the worst time with that shit last year. We get 19 inches when we aren't even prepped for one, water freezes and then months later the pipes broke. At least I had electricity and heat the whole time.

Ice storms here though...kinda dicey. I'd almost take the two foot snow storm over the half inch of ice.
