There's a sampler that came with the pre-orders. I'd imagine that an actual OST, at least digital, won't be far off. Though others seem to think otherwise.

It's definitely worth the time but the lack of competitive multiplayer is a slight downer. But you at least have online leaderboards and the ranking system is quite brutal. Getting SS rank in everything would be a challenge that no one has currently succeeded at if the trophy system say anything. Even that Marathon was B rank but I went back and got a 7:17 for an A. My guess is S is < 7 min and SS is < 6:30 or 6. The ranking showed someone doing it in 4 and I guarantee that was an SS at least.

That would be about the long and the short of it for buying online from what I've seen. The only other thing I can think of is if there's any Mom and Pop repair places with leftover systems of that era that you could call or people in the Classifieds wanting to get rid of old systems for little to nothing. Might be worth hitting up to see what you can find.

That was just now, remoting in via VNC from the office, which is about right. And during the non-summer months, it tends to operate just fine which, at this speed, is quite a far cry from the average of this state (which isn't even 10Mbit, last I checked).

It also costs 90 dollars a month and when it's in the summer months the connectivity drops to absolute shit. I'm hard pressed to keep it stable between late May and late September. I have a feeling it's the back end and this city being heated up from people being home from school with nothing better to do on top of the back end being strained from the summer heat around here (which can get to 110F+ without considering the heat index). Any other time? Fine.

Can run a web/file server and can stream from time to time but not much more than that, though. Even with the throughput, it acts funny if you try to access too many ports at once, router regardless. Or at least, I've tried a lot to see what I can do on it before the router inevitably powers off by itself and recycles the upstream/downstream.

Chat clients kinda went the way of the dodo bird when Steam moved in. Then Skype later. Then finally Discord, where I've arrived at now. Especially since IRC basically worked directly with it. Haven't really had the will to touch AIM/MSN/etc. in about a decade or so now.

Well, 1809's -second- release is apparently not burning. Now I'm looking into 19H1 releases...the light theme that they've previewed to me looks absolutely awful and they're finally deep-sixing Edge in favor of Chromium. Which basically means we're down to the lion's share being Google and the rest of it being Firefox and then whatever else the less than 1% of people use, not counting people that are still on 7 using IE.

I'd say HGST follwed by WD is your best bet. Both are pretty reliable...but anymore it really depends if you need something for a spacehog drive or if you need one for a boot or Steam or gaming drive and, if it's one of those latter, you should really consider an SSD. Anymore, you can get a 1TB for almost $100 on sale and I've seen them as low as about that as of late. Just waiting for 2TB drives to get down to that but I have a feeling that's still a few years off.

Last I messed with Tumblr was over a writing project that barely took off and that was well over a decade or so ago. Haven't really had a reason to use it since outside of what gets linked from there to other forms of social media (mostly Twitter).

Been using it as my main since release but much of the reason I've done that is because it makes it a lot easier for me to figure out if the OS is going to do something to people that would know any better.

Not like we'll have much of a choice, securely, by the end of next year, though. That mass upgrade from 7 to 10 that will hit me this time next year is going to suuuuuck...
