past month and change i've been replaying SSX Tricky, with a lot of that time going towards trying to get two million points on the first level with the character Kaori (the meta is that Mac is the best for trick points, but I'm sick of the dude now LOL). tough stuff, but it's been fun! went back to SSX 3 as a side hustle and god, i just don't have the physical and mental ability for this anymore, compared even to like two years ago. so many moving parts, it just isn't my thing anymore. Tricky has more than enough but not too much for my nerfed mental clock speed XD

also recently had a little spate of booting up Minecraft 1.5.2 and dicking around in peaceful creative mode. doing that while listening to music has been the ultimate chill spot for various periods in my life.

yessss! one of the soundblaster joints! got one at a pawn shop january of last year. they're super spiffy. actually made a small little record with it a couple months back with a "abandoned net yaroze game soundtrack" kind of vibe. the popcorn percussion the non-PCM yamahas had is really dear to me—one of my first "proper" releases was based off another model with that same drum sound and similar tones

Since the last time I posted in here, I got a Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen and, let me tell you, if you haven't tried a fountain pen you should definitely do so! It feels so much better to write with. I can't understand why we switched to ballpoint.

had a fountain pen phase when i was in middle school! i've been thinking maybe of getting into them again... even though of course this whole time my handwriting has been straight garbage looool

my g4 doesn't have any understanding of modern-day wifi but is perfectly happy when it's got an ethernet cable. funny to think it gets faster and more consistent net speeds than my current computer!

nabbed a 13" Sharp TV/VCR combo CRT for free last week with everything in good shape. first time using a CRT in eons, forgot how great they were! and it's nifty to have a VCR again, even if it isn't the fanciest thing on Earth. didn't check beforehand if it had a headphone jack though (it doesn't); a splitter'll solve that for things that plug into it but for the on-board VCR I'm probably SOL without DIY-ing one and that sort of thing is far beyond my paygrade, especially given it being a CRT. either way, it's still super cool!

super neato thread, this!

maybe half or more of my posts (including this one) have been on an 2004 iBook G4 i've had for about two years. came with 256 MB of RAM stock but whoever previously owned it threw 512 extra in there at some point which definitely bumps up the usability a bunch. running 10.4.11, maybe should've done Panther instead but it still works quite nicely regardless. absolutely want/need to pop a SSD in there but these particular iBooks are painfully user-unfriendly, some brain surgery shit i'm far too much of a baby to step to, lol! dreaming of having a proper OS9 machine some day...

It's a house, but the plot is pretty grassy.

It's in a nice neighborhood, close to some other friends of mine who happened to also buy houses recently. So that's a very huge bonus. I don't know what to say, it's a nice place.

moving on up! nice lil' spot

all these old screens are sooooo choice! wish I had any still lying around, but alas... i don't think little me knew how to screenshot so the oldest I'd have are from 2009-2010 and even then those disappeared a while ago.

instead, take an iBook G4 shot from now. ShapeShifter theme called Latium 2 with that perfect dA/Halo green going on, plus wallpaper from Den-Noh Coil. would be using Audion for CDs but it lags a ton, perhaps it was only optimized for playing CDs on OS 9? so iTunes it is... at least iTunes at this time wasn't yet a bloated disaster lol
i feel like 75% of the time I spend on this computer is just fiddling with ShapeShifter and wallpaper combinations LOL. damn I miss shapeshifter

back in my miniclip forums days it was funny having COPPA mandate all users be over 13 and yet everyone silently understanding that *most* people were definitely not that. don't ask don't tell kind of thing. once purposely got myself banned for being underage on some weird tweenage whim... then I made another account for shits and giggles
