![]() #58 ![]() Way back in 2001, also featuring outdated text (for another thread like this one), but my handwriting hasn't really changed since then ![]() If you want more, or how small I can write sometimes, here's part of some maths homework from 2002 ![]() ![]() -------------------- |

It's also possible to run multiple instances of this at once to multiply the fun, but it gets really laggy before long

I had to learn/use cursive at school for a while too, up to grade 5 I think ... and I don't think I ever used it again since then
![]() My signature was just my name in normal handwriting at first, but evolved into a cursive mess after a few years ![]() -------------------- |

![]() #58
Since I've already done it for another post about a year ago, I'll just post that again:
![]() Not so bad but I really took my time ![]() -------------------- |

It looks about the same as Firefox 3.5 for me (after getting the status bar back), but without Classic Compact for now, so it ends up being less compact than before
![]() It doesn't really feel faster (barely if at all), but that might be because I'm on Windows XP with no 2D acceleration ![]() -------------------- |

Internet Explorer 7 on Vista, but a better version of both
Or just now, I tried Opera 3.0, which works but doesn't support any CSS or even PNG ![]() I once went here from my old Pentium 200MHz running Windows 98 and Netscape 6 (still works decently, just a bit slow obviously), but of course I could go even farther with virtual machines or emulators ![]() -------------------- |
|
|||
![]() #58
And now Netscape 3.02 Gold, which actually makes Opera 3.0 look like a nice browser for its time ... someone should try with Internet Explorer 3 or 4, or on Windows 3.1

![]() #59 ![]() You really have to do it by purpose to fail like that, but it's still funny how that's possible at all ![]() And I remember playing Hearts a few times before, it's really not that bad ... and you forgot that if you take all of the cards, you get 0 and everyone else 26 ![]() -------------------- |

I use Windows's calculator (the older one, not Windows 7's) quite often, it works just fine for what it's made for
And I used WordPad for a short time when I really had nothing better ...But most of the other crap that comes with Windows is useless to me, even Paint ... no one mentioned HyperTerminal, either (and thanks for reminding me to delete every trace of "NetMeeting" in the registry, the files were already gone)-------------------- |

![]() #59
Windows 95/98's Notepad definitely had that 64k limit, and newer versions without that limit are just too slow for loading large files ... (but I still sometimes use Notepad)
I've used Telnet for raw connections to a specific server and port (you can do raw HTTP requests, use a email server, etc.), but I haven't used it for actual Telnet sessions since forever ![]() -------------------- |

![]() #59
I think Jesper added it at some point for 1.A (1.A1 apparently), I just know it wasn't me and I knew absolutely nothing about RSS at the time, and I never used it except to try it out that one time
![]() Latestposts with some instant reports from IRC is enough for me anyway, and I did fine with none of this in the old days ![]() -------------------- |

![]() #59
It hasn't crashed at all for me either, and never runs multiple plugin-container.exe processes at once ...
I wouldn't even have any reason to go back to 3.6, since 4.0 feels almost exactly the same for me (see 3.5 and 4.0), the few extensions (and compact theme) I use were updated for it, and of course the rendering should be better ... it just doesn't feel much faster like it's supposed to be, but it's not worse either ![]() -------------------- |

![]() #59
No, but maybe my 7050 is
![]() You could always try painting your regular coins green, since they don't look any different otherwise ![]() -------------------- |

![]() #59 Originally posted by Waffle Ryebread I've copied about 60MB of ROMs (NES and SNES) from school in 1998-1999 before I got dialup, I even had to split some 4MB ROMs into 2 or 3 floppies (and of course, most of this was downloaded at dialup speed or less)I think I used floppies regularly until around 2000 (and a few rare times since then), then used the Internet or networks instead ... I've never really needed any of the floppy replacements (USB drives, SD cards, etc.), even ![]() -------------------- |

The GameBoy Color version of it says "It is the millenium" instead, so there always is time for Klax
![]() It'll also be the nineties again in 2090, if we're still alive by then ![]() -------------------- |

![]() #59 Originally posted by Imajin Or even better, it'd think it's 19921, with the 21 being the units digit only ... so we're still in the nineties, not only the 1900's ![]() -------------------- |

€9.99(9)/L -> $14.22/L (US) -> $53.84/gallon (or whatever the exchange rate was when that happened)
Even at 10x cost (compared to here) and with a choice for cheaper (normal) gas, it looks like some people still don't think it's too expensive ![]() It's currently around $1.35/L here, or $5.25 US/gallon ... it went up quite a bit in the last few months, but I usually don't notice much since I don't drive either ![]() -------------------- |

4000 will come first, unless you wait until October for idle EXP gain to fill the rest ...
And yet I think I'm sometimes gaining more EXP from idle than posting, with a post's worth of EXP every 3 days ![]() -------------------- |
