by now it's not technically new, but as of a couple weeks ago I finally was able to get one of these! Came with a couple games, and the displays were soldered down so I won't have to worry about those coming unglued in their due time. It's quite a neat piece of hardware with some fun games, and I've yet to have a single case of headaches or eye strain :p
also in the meantime since then I was able to snag this game, one in particular I was hoping I could find for pretty cheap (although anything is cheap compared to what a US copy will pull *shudders*)
Look at that hee-ho, he's so happy to be on the front of the box!

I myself am a sucker for Galactic Pinball. Played that more than Wario Land (which I still should finish).
Which games did you get?
well with it came Mario's Tennis (of course), Wario Land, Teleroboxer, Red Alarm, and Golf.
And since that post, I've gotten Vertical Force and Panic Bomber, and am looking for Mario Clash to come in any day. :p
I'm not looking to collect every single game, just the ones that interest me most. That and maybe a flash cart, so that when the day finally comes that someone writes a competent music tool for VB, I can export that music and play it off of hardware (...gosh, a girl sure can dream)
Originally posted by Kawaii-e Get a look at Space Squash, it's a lot of fun, even if only a .jp release.
About Sound on VB, you may be better of with a PC Engine. About the same capabilities, but way more support.
But I wouldn't mind some great tunes to listen on the VB.
Space Squash is rather interesting, I might just get it >.>
also yeah, I dabble in PCE a bit (it's pretty nice tbh) but it's just not the saaamme, I'm a bit of a stickler for being able to use the actual thing with all of its unique quirks heh
it's rained all week with a forecasting of probably a week more, which wasn't so bad but now it's also cold
which
actually just makes it harder to get out of bed in the morning more than anything eheh
Texas is always hot or cold, but never in between (and usually just hot). we got maybe a couple days of cool breeze and ~60F temps before it dropped a whole twenty more to where we are now, heh.
as always, there's demoscene showing off with really nice software-mixed PWM audio
so maybe you just need to be a wizard or Bernhard Wodok/Manfred Linzner? to be able to get something decent out of those silly little sample channels :p
(gosh I love this soundtrack)
..uhm, music gushing aside, I kinda didn't first experience anything GBA until I first got a DS Lite.
the backwards compatibility of which allowed me to check out all those games that I always saw on shelves, but could never play (I still never got to own a GBA Video cart tho)
nowdays, that DS Lite is worn down (it still works, but the d-pad is real unresponsive so good luck moving right at all)
but I bought a wide GBA a few years back and now that's kinda my go-to for anything GB, heh
I can't remember any vivid dreams right now, but
I do know I've had a lot of where I'm an actual girl and everyone's fine with itand those dreams are always fun ;~;
ooh there was one I had a couple years ago where I was playing like a multiplayer FPS sorta game,
like an old arena shooter (before I had even played the original UT or Quake) and I can still
somewhat remember one or two areas of the map I was playing on, heh.
I got myself a physical copy of Mario RPG for my birthday (though it arrived like a week early oops)
and gosh, I'm not the biggest RPG player (I just don't have the time to sink in to 'em eheh), but
it's still as good as I remembered it. The music's lovely, the art is real nice, the writing is top-notch
and ofc the gameplay is quite fun
and did I mention the soundtrack maybe I should do that again

ahh yeah... Tomoya Tomita's works are sublime. I'd wholly recommend WarioLandShakeIt! and Kirby'sEpicYarn if you liked that,
assuming you don't already know of those heh ^^; both of those osts are kinda on the opposite ends of each other - Shake It is really
energetic in a lot of places, and Epic Yarn is really calm n chill (and sweet oh my gosh my heart) but they're still great listens nonetheless.
in-between pulling my Virtual Boy out to play whatever, and.. Team Fortress 2. because I've never really gotten tired of that game.
I should be, been playing it for like eight years but no? still getting enjoyment out of it so whee
also there's nothing new out that's caught my interest either (but I tend to miss a lot of games that come out? so, grain of salt, ykno)
basically I'm falling back on old trusties eheh
found this the other day! one of the first covers of SimCity NES's music, and it's for OPLL ^u^
I really like how they arranged it; the added chords really flesh the piece out a lot
Originally posted by Nanashihttps://jul.rustedlogic.net/index.php?scheme=0 there is, i forget if there was a proper page for it hough
(do not pick scheme 11, it is a horrible, very intensely flashing, bad bad relic of the past. I'm surprised it's still there)
oh wow, yeah nothing like this is on the profile editing page at all, that's pretty handy (also gosh 11 is horrible asdfjhaglkj)
my eyes are also just really, really sensitive, so even in the not-so-great lighting of my house, I still have all my devices on lowest brightness
(I actually installed a blue-light filter on my phone and tablet and was delighted to find they turned the brightness down even lower, thank goodness)
I can tolerate a light theme but only if there's, like, actual stuff on screen - plain white and some text usually doesn't cut it for me
and given how most modern sites and apps absolutely looove copious amounts of dead space, dark themes are my go-to
...ofc, there are some dark themes that just don't gel with me either, I guess there's a such thing as "too-dark" but yeah
my eyes are really light sensitive, so usually I'd just turn out the lights while washing my hands, maybe take my glasses off and wash my face
and I feel like it helps a bit, de-stresses my eyes and kinda just feels nice, in general
so then I got the idea a while back (on a night that I had a real bad headache), ykno, why not I just shower like that?
maybe have the plug-in light on? then as of maybe a few weeks ago, that light went out (I.. think, at least) so now it's just, dark, dark.
but that's fine, it's good not to have my eyes focused on anything for a few minutes. 's not like I do it often either, just every once in a while,
usually when no one else in the house is awake and I feel like I need it heh
