hello there, im new to this board. im unsure what to say about myself.. im an artist i guess? i love to draw animals and girls with magic qualities. i am not very good at pinpointing my interests, but i appreciate most things. some common ones include astrology, naturalism, and cultures. i seldom gravitate towards games, television, film, or other fictional media; the occasional documentary is enough for me. after all, i get all the fantasy i could ever hope for and more from my own mind.

i love people but ive struggled with isolation lately. as a result, you will usually see me everywhere with my girlfriend, mirzaba, since she calms my nerves. in my old communities i tended to find myself in positions of trust and leadership despite not necessarily looking for it. i think i am all around genuine and unpretentious, despite how saying that sounds. i believe these to be my strengths.

my weaknesses are definitely my perfectionism and hyper-sensitivity. i am lawful-good aligning and would go to great lengths to thwart behaviour i perceive as damaging to the 'greater good.' i have always felt a vague sort of higher calling and that sometimes makes it hard for me to get close with individuals, but i do care about them a lot. i can also be too abstract, concrete subjects generally elude me. i was considered an 'indigo child' by many a therapist in my youth.

ive been having a rough time opening back up, so i was encouraged to seek out new people and communities a little more and happened to have this place recommended to me. i peeked around here and there and it seems very nice from what i can tell. who knows, i might make myself cozy here.

a little personality snapshot for those of you who are curious:
-i am INFP (IEI)
-9w1 enneagram (so/sp)
-aquarius sun, cancer moon, taurus rising
-year of the wooden dog in chinese astrology
-over-active third eye and heart chakra, under-active root and sacral
-common animal energies include cat, red panda, and ermine

i don't have very many specific goals.. mostly i would like to get a job and pick up learning to drive again. im 24 years old and these are both kind of important things to have at my age. ^^; right now im trying to take it slow and not overexert myself with a whole lot of goals til i get the basics down.

oh i do this..! i noticed i picked up the habit when im trying to focus of keeping 1/4 musical time. if i am really stressed i will keep 1/3 time too. i chalked it up to OCD since i have other habits like this. i also find myself habitually taking a 3rd position stance, so that must come from my childhood dance and chorus lessons being drilled into my brain. :p how musical!

i have more OCs than i know what to do with hehe. most of my OCs have deep meaning to me and are based on specific feelings or wanderings inside my head. my most recent character is a genet named madchen.

here's my toyhou.se where i stash them all away.

noo, im afraid of the dark i could never shower without lights on. i have trouble just walking around in the dark. i used to be able to pee with the lights off at night time but then my gf said something vaguely spook-some and now i cant even do that hahaha.

Posted on 02-14-18 06:29:43 PM, in Sleep Associations Link
i have a lot of trouble falling asleep at night but some of my quirks include:
-need to be laying on my stomach with my head to the side (i usually flip sides til i get it 'right')
-lots of pillows required, three minimum (two for my head, one for between my legs)
-one arm wraps around pillow number two, one goes above my head and back around my face
-one leg has to be up over the third pillow (however, occasionally my girlfriend will do as a substitute)
-blanket should be tucked right up under my nose but open on the bottom for the soles of my feet
-NO SHEETS BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE BLANKET, VERY IMPORTANT
-i dont need one but a nightlight usually helps me fall asleep easier
-sometimes i just need to sleep in a ball
-sometimes i fall asleep gripping things, like ill wake up with a handful of blanket
-...sometimes i also wake up facing the other side of the bed, with my head where my feet were

i currently have 8 pillows on my bed and three blankets. i also have trouble sleeping if ive got pants on... so there you go.

Posted on 02-14-18 06:34:54 PM, in Winter is great but (last edited by eifie at 02-14-18 06:36:50 PM) Link
i dont like winter, or the cold im really looking forward to spring since its my favourite season! that said i kind of enjoy shoveling snow. i think its something about clearing off the surface of the ground and being able to see it again..? i like this about rinsing dishes too.

i actually just remembered i used to play in mud as a kid and i would purposefully get plastic toys dirty and then rinse them off in our blowup pool lol. it feels refreshing to see just how the dirt comes off. i dont know! i cant explain it.

Huh. Neat page.

yeaa personally i dont prefer it, ive tried multiple different options for storing them and deviantart's sta.sh feature was my favourite- but toyhou.se is more community based so ive been trying to keep it up to date @.@

Posted on 02-14-18 09:47:57 PM, in New stuff you got Link
ooh hello to this thread, dont mind if i indulge my taurus spending habits... with christmas and my recent birthday ive got some cool new items~

heres a nice little jewelry box i treated myself to, i desperately needed one as i was previously keeping jewelry in an envelope..

a carrying case for my electronics!! this was a real life saver. no more dumping all my things out of a pencil case just to find that one game i want to play hahah.

and this was my birthday present from my sibling, a tcg tin! it came with latias and latios promo cards as well as 5 booster packs. now it safely contains all my tcg accessories! :3

this was the best birthday present i could ask for. i grew up collecting pokemon cards, and thought they were long gone. but a couple years ago they resurfaced at our grandparents house! i tried to have them mailed out to me, but they got lost in the mail with some other items so im trying to rebuild my collection, with moderate success.

heres a closeup of the booklet it came with for storing individual cards

i also got a fennekin plushie, some new mint-coloured headphones, and a really nice pair of suede black pump boots. over christmas i got a lot of drawing supplies and some nice new clothes.

my favourite is warm early summer/late spring rainstorms! i am notorious for running around in the rain and ruining my shoes in the puddles. i love foggy and overcast days too. all weather is enjoyable to me, but more than anything i cant stand cold, dark winters for very long. i like my snow to be in edible little bites, if it sticks around i tend to fall into depression.

shame on you, arizona monsoons are some of my favourite kind of weather. you better enjoy it on my behalf! the sunny weather isnt so bad if you have a cool place to hangout at, i liked being able to enjoy the poolside a lot last summer, but its dreadful if you dont have that. i think its worse to be trapped in the car or a crowded place in that kind of weather.

this might be a bit stupid but theres a video that was uploaded like 10+ years ago by the youtubers who made the naruto abridged series, and it was a song they made for another youtubers birthday and it went like.. "doo doo doo doo dooo, doo doo, doodoo do" "im a gerbil, love my llama" repeatedly and would repeat "wheres my elephant in-DEED, wheres my, wheres my?"
ive looked up and down and widesays for this video but, the channel seems to have deleted it and i cant find any mirrors. my sibling and i still sing this song lol... nobody else besides them ever knows what im talking about when i try to bring it up.

Posted on 02-14-18 10:24:48 PM, in Pet projects? Link
here's my pet project, velkacis.
it is a graphical chat hosted on a server known as 'chatlands' (or a1k9, chatwitch, etc. known for their main chat "wolfhome") which has been around since 1999. i have a lot done in terms of the presentation of the homepage, the FAQs and forums, etc. but the chat itself is unfortunately buggy due to the owner of the server (and the only real tech support) being frequently MIA..
all the information i could give is already present on the site, but in short its going to be an invite only fantasy themed chat which would ideally be communal and great for roleplaying. :] here is the official trello, progress is slow since i am currently the only person on the team.

yeaaaa this is me! a lot of times with art i will be creating something, decide i dont like it, then delete it and start over. i was just thinking about how i did this with my project velkacis too because i have recreated so many pages. i get really fixated on certain things and pour hours of work into it only to wake up the next morning and be like WAIT I HAVE A BETTER IDEA!

yea i really wanted to but the people who were going to help me set it up arent around anymore, so its stuck in insecureland. also i doubt the serverhost of chatlands will be updating to https anytime soon. honestly i would rather host somewhere else so im looking into that.

Posted on 02-15-18 04:07:12 AM, in Have you ever thought about being another gender? Link
from the ages of 13-16 i thought very often that i was the wrong gender, often wishing i could be male and experiencing mild gender dysphoria. eventually it faded, i dont really know how or why. i think for me it was just the realization that it was less about gender in the first place, but other forms of dysphoria in general. i still have body dysmorphia but i hardly think twice about gender as it applies to myself anymore. i also noticed that since my girlfriend came to realize she is trans, ive really begun to explore the lesbian side of my sexuality and its rekindled my interest in girly things. it feels really comfortable to present as feminine now, even moreso than it did when we were viewed as a heterosexual couple.
