Also, Sonic Adventure 1 aged extremely badly but it's not completely unplayable outside of maybe Amy (Big is just a matter of knowing how to angle, press down and pull back gently). Adventure 2 has far worse issues in the gameplay department and it's the more stable one of the two which says something.

I came in hyped for all the sidequests and world-building but all the waiting and obsession with dumb minigames and sidequests that require you to clear a dungeon in the 3 day cycle before being able to do it and aaaaaaaaaaaa
I didn't 100% it, just went for all masks
It's a great world but it's not that special a game lol
LttP was p overrated in my eyes too, Awakening did it better (need to replay the Oracles and Minish but I remember them being outstanding too)

KH's plotline isn't as convoluted if you play the games in release order (KH-CoM-KH2-Days-BBS-Coded-DDD-0.2-χ Back Cover-KH3)
It just suffers from the Star Wars issue of "the writers made shit up as they went along"

Started a few more games, also started getting back into studying SMW ASM (while jamming out to vocaloid and eurobeat cuz im trash) so I can finally become Roy 2.0.
Overall, it's p chill!
Had a psych appointment recently too, went swimmingly.
Also bitched a bit more about SMWC on my Twitter because I do that shit daily, sorry.
Having a few physiotherapy appointments to help with my legs due to recent leg pains since like February?
It's starting to die down as of the past few weeks, so it's good.
Been shitposting on #hyperpower (Hinalyte's (SMWC admin) discord) too.
Made a small discord server for a JP SMW hacker circle I'm sorta friends with, as a small gesture of kindness.
Yoshin, Mathos and I's SMW site is sorta(??) underway, Mathos is busy with school stuff so...
I'm gonna ask him to give me some html lessons later on so I can actually not be useless outside of admin/modding duties lol
Also joined the SaGa Wiki Discord so I can try helping them out.

At Chapter 3 in Paper Mario.
Got everyone except Parakarry to Super rank.
Made it to Blue Resort in Bomberman 64.
Using savestates for the cheaper gold cards because no.
At the City World in the Wonderswan Color remake of Makai Toushi SaGa.
Accidentally made my espers OP so I just went and min/maxed my human anyway lol
At the Iron Golem boss in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
It's no Symphony or Rondo, but it's good.
At Djose Highroad in Final Fantasy X International.
Grinding a bit every now and then because I wanna do the optional bosses too.
At Chapter 3 in Bravely Default.
Currently grinding the Chapter 2 sidequest jobs (Ranger, Summoner, Valkyrie, Red Mage) to Lv7.
Playing Fatal Fury 2 as Terry.
At the 7th of the first 8 battles in 1P mode (order was Terry -> Raiden -> Andy -> Kim -> Cheng -> Mai -> Joe).
Put down a savestate to continue later. Edit: The timer couldn't initialize on the save state, whomp whomp~ Now I know lol
Beat Jumping Flash! 2's main story.
Thinking of starting GitS PS1 and Robbit Mon Dieu later.
Also beat a replay of Final Fantasy I (GBA version).
Party was Knight, Master, White Wizard, Red Wizard.
Edit: Also forgot to mention I'm in World 3 of 4 in Clockwork Knight 2 (the bathroom).
Savescummed at Origami, the second boss.
The leopard phase is cheap in the western versions because he can injure you while charging and Pepperouchau's physics are hella janky.
According to Tongara from Retro and CK.net (he lurks CK tweets on Twitter lol), this wasn't a thing in the Japanese version, which doesn't surprise me.
I will not lie, Pepper is super cute~
I'd pinch his rose cheeks >:3
Also started replaying The Second Reality Project Reloaded (at World 4).
One of the first SMW hacks I ever played, it's really special to me even with its age. |

Since I keep restarting hack ideas from scratch I'm just gonna focus on learning ASM for now.
I don't have self-doubts regarding level design (I basically take notes from the better VIP levels and JP hacks), I'm just really bad at sticking to one thing.

Sonic Adventure 1, Advance 1-3 and Battle were my childhood.
Final Fantasy IX is a stunningly beautiful game and while I have a soft spot for VIII, I cannot deny that IX is the best one.
Pokémon Crystal and NiGHTS into Dreams were also my favorite games as a kid.
Sonic Robo Blast 2 was also my first online community, started playing in v1.09.4. |
