EDIT: Figured out what you have to do to fix it. Change height:100%; to min-height:100%; in the dpost class and that should fix it for both browsers.

i actually took at look at this rym redesign you're talking about and compared to some of the other redesigns i've seen it's not bad??? it's more or less the old design but with a new coat of paint. im surprised that site went looking like Craigslist 2 up until this year tbh. i don't use rym often but this looks mostly harmless to me.

now, DeviantArt Eclipse, on the other hand... 😷

this isn't mine, but i know of a site that goes over a SHITTON of obscure(-ish), mostly JP-only psx games and talks about how good they are. i love the effort put into this website and detailing games that range from beloved classics to garbage that's just funny to look at. i'm sure you'll find something to play on here. check it

i have no clue what i'm listening to and i love it

(i really like this kinda thing compared to this artist's previous alias (ringex plaster) because it's way less memey and not nearly as harsh noise/repetitivey. (well, most of the time at least...) if you like bull of heaven, i say check roxy's stuff out...)

In this thread: we post about things that we have seen on the Internet or in media and whatnot, yet you have found almost nobody that remembers said thing, like it's as almost if you dreamt it up at some point.

I'll start with two of mine:

I remember watching a video that was featured on Yahoo! Video (remember that??) in the mid-to-late-2000s that was someone pranking an audience of people into thinking that there was a new video game when in reality it was just a pre-programmed video.

The game involved four-player co-op, spongebob player models, and lots of glitches. i SWEAR this video was on the front page of yahoo! video (or some other non-yt video site) at some point but i just can't find it for the life of me.

Good news: I finally found that video I was talking about in the OP! It's this one! I think, at least. I think I'm remembering it slightly wrong but I'm like 85% sure that this was the one I saw when I was a teenager. If not, then it was definitely the same performance but either on a different date (and a different audience), or the same one with different editing. Either way, I'm so happy that I found it again. Special thanks to this guy on /r/tipofmytongue for being what I'm assuming is the only other person on the planet that remembers this video (from back when Revver was a thing. Anyone else remember Revver???)

Also, by sheer happenstance, I stumbled upon another thing I completely forgot I remembered until I uh, happened upon someone that was archiving it. It's an ancient Flash-based netart site/experience called The Woodcutter by Josh Kimberg. Somehow stumbled upon this gallery of confusion when I was a wee lad, and I've never been able to find it until Kicks archived and reuploaded it! I'm also fairly certain that Josh also made a similar Flash netart gallery called The Cave, but I haven't been able to find that one yet. Here's hoping that he'll reupload that one as well!

Seems to work. SUCCESS!!!

But always strange to use a mouse without a scroll wheel of any kind.

if it helps, someone made a downloadable version of 95b that adds a bunch of drivers and scroll wheel support out of the box

qimgv - basically imageglass but cross-platform. you can even preview webms with it. only downside is that it can't preview PSDs like imageglass can but it's a really good option if you're not on windows

sharex - it's greenshot but with waaaaay more features and it rules. i might have posted about sharex in this thread already but i'm doing it again because it rules (only downside is that it's windows-only)

obsidian - really nice markdown-based note-taking app. you can even install a bunch of cool addons and themes to make it your own.

freetube - a privacy-based youtube desktop client that lets you watch videos without worry of being spied on by google. even has sponsorblock built in!

lunacy - a completely free, cross-platform, Electron-free ui design app that's so fucking good. seriously it might not be as diverse as photoshop but it can do quite a lot and the best part is that it's free and Not Made By Adobe

lagrange - a nice cross-platform browser for the gemini and gopher protocols.

tribler - a private torrent client that seems to be immune to isp-based snooping since it uses the tor protocol. haven't tried it myself but it seems promising! (torrent things at your own risk)

hydrus - a super-duper-useful piece of image catalog software that lets you tag and download images from various different sources. great if you're an internet packrat like i am (there is some reference to chan culture on the pages but you can easily ignore that -- the program doesn't phone home unless you tell it to)

someone made a lightweight imgur frontend which is really cool because imgur itself has a tendency to redirect its .jpg/.png links to its really bloated website for no good reason so i'm glad i finally have a way to avoid that

unrelated but here's a site for a cool sci-fi universe someone i follow on tumblr is making

also i recently found a wiki revolving around the backrooms. it's basically the scp wiki but with no consensus on what to do or what not to do so all of the articles add up to a weird slurry mess of canon. i kind of love it

there's also an extension that not only has nitter redirects, but also redirects youtube videos to invidious and instagram to bibliogram and the like. it's called privacy redirect and i can't recommend it enough. it's so good. you can even choose what instances you want it to auto-redirect to in the settings
