Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
-------------------------------- The main "power up required to continue" situations are really only in world 1. You'll notice in world 2, that's pretty much eliminated completely. Uh, the number blocks are implemented. Go through the castle, hit the message boxes, get the password from one of them, ???, profit. -------------------- |

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
-------------------------------- Actually, that secret exit hasn't been implemented yet. If you've found 19, you've found them all. That was a mistake on my part, but I think I covered it in the Read Me. -------------------- |

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
-------------------------------- The main problem with trying to create music for this is the lack of variety in SMW's instruments, and that is probably why a lot of the instruments are overused. I have about 9-10 normal ones at my disposal, and then about 8 in percussion. If I had some semi-decent instruments (pan flute, regular flute, brass, etc) I would be much better off. It'd be nice to see smkdan update his tool more so this is possible. As for more notes on the hack itself, I plan to have the world 3 (final) demo released by late January. I'm trying to overload it with events and other stuff that makes it very fun, so we'll see how it turns out. -------------------- |

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
-------------------------------- Let's see .. when I was younger, I ate Cool Whip from the container with a spoon, and held the can of Whipped Cream upside down in my mouth. Damn. Meh. I gotta go with Cool Whip on this one - it always tasted much sweeter to me, and it was easier to eat ![]() -------------------- |

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
-------------------------------- Ah, I remember getting this game a while ago when it came out here. You know, it was really fun for the first couple of hours, and really felt like it was going somewhere. The story was actually somewhat interesting, and the whole "choice" thing was cool (i.e. choosing whether to "help" or "betray" an ally type thing, without spoiling much). The overworld also kicks ass - it's so awesomely designed, and there are a HUGE amount of towns/cities/outposts What ruined it was two things: 1. Long ass battles. I mean, come on. I don't like fighting a giant rat and taking 20 minutes to kill it. Not to mention these things just happen to pop up between every single outpost. 2. The AI and unfairness. Come on. You can have the boss down to one HP, you are at full, and you will still lose. I've had it happen, seriously. The enemy will get a whole shitload of x4 and x5 skull chains, along with repeatedly smashing your head in with their attack to make you miss an enormous amount of turns. Yes, I am talking about Dugog. Eh. It's fun for a while, but it kind of loses it's appeal. If you're into long battles and can put up with the unfairness, then by all means enjoy yourself. -------------------- |

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
-------------------------------- Originally posted by HyperHacker Nothing bad happens, it just loops as usual. It's really weird that the song and the intro happens to be the exact same length. (I actually just noticed that when I watched it again) I could always have the text scroll at the top of the screen during the boss intro, but that would be kind of weird ![]() Golden Yoshi: Thanks, heh. Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
-------------------------------- Thanks for the comments everyone. Madman200 was originally right - it is a dock. Also: 1. I see what you're talking about. The north side of the bridge is one tile larger than the south side. Fixed. 2 + 4 together: Yes, I should not have made the summit of castle 4 connect to that cliff - I knew it looked wrong and I was stupid to leave it. Fixed 3. I'm not sure what you're talking about here. -------------------- |
