We've been playing Cosmic Express occasionally, which is a nice little geometry puzzle game about using a train to get aliens to their homes. There's some neat twists involving the way the constraints of the homes and the types of aliens interact. I think we've nearly got through the last constellation.

Canabalt HD is an old but good runner game about fleeing through an interminable city while behemoth robots battle it out in the background and occasionally not-so-background.

There's also the awfully charming DATA WING, which is a racing game about flying a little software agent through… well, I forget when you find out what the environment is, but it's got a charming backstory to it and a very fitting vaporwave soundtrack. Getting through the story mode is pretty easy (though there were a few levels we got stuck on for a while), but beating the high-level challenge times is hard.

^α′I've just been going through our kitchen, both trying to sort food items into reasonable places because it was getting horribly disorganized and writing down roughly how much we have of what. It's partly because I know there's a bunch of stuff that's been lingering that never got folded into any meal plans, like the boxes of Golden Curry mix, and a bunch of now semi-ancient frozen meat which I think is probably still safe to use.

How often do y'all do stuff like this? What else is in y'all's spring cleaning lists, for those who do that? I'm hoping to do a full pass over the house over the course of the next lunation, even though it's pretty late for “spring”. Better late than never…

^βWe picked up Darkest Dungeon a little while ago and started a Radiant (easy difficulty) run. (No expansions or anything yet, though they look like they'd be good to pick up later.) We've gotten through a bunch of the run, and have our hamlet fully upgraded, but these Champion-level missions and bosses are killer. Literally. I keep sending in a pack of adventurers that looks reasonable enough to get to the boss and do the slaying, and then some pack of enemies along the way pulls off a combo that gets a key party member (in practice usually “any of them”, because a three-member party has a huge numerical disadvantage) to Death's Door and then kills them off before I can do anything about it. I am losing so many level-6 adventurers aaaaa.

^αSo we just noticed this a little while ago. We haven't been playing much, and aren't good enough to get to most of the new content yet (we can't even reliably clear Gkukr Qkiekwknwktkhwa), but we've unlocked some amusing new guns, at least.

^βThe Tetrominator is really aesthetic. The Chamber Gun was also a nice twist. I'm not sure how to make the Really Special Lute effective, though. Also, I hope I can find out what The Exotic is like at some point, especially since we also play Destiny.

^αSo have other people been playing the new stuff? What's it been like for you? Is the ammo rebalancing working out and all? Do you do Rainbow Runs? (I'd prefer that anything for hidden/puzzle-y unlocks be ROT13'd or otherwise spoiler-obscured, but basic/early stuff, anything you get “naturally”, balance changes and such, those should be okay to talk about in the clear.)
