Alert: Problem previewing "Usable Crap" items.
Item previews work everywhere else... just not in this category, for some unknown reason...
Not that it matters in the slightest, but would somebody please get on that?
Thanks.

Why am I just now realizing that this thread is mostly full of Pokémon-related stuff?
All I can say for something "new" I've got is... "I got a bad pun. You'll hate it."
Here goes:
I have some corny jokes, but some people think they're amaizeing.

And still nothing Pokémon-related! Just Un-Lucky, I guess...
Yes, more pun. Happens when I'm bored and tired. You'll get used to it.

As a film studies major, I am inclined to appreciate the works of Steven Spielberg.
Recently, while looking up books on my Kindle Reader (which is now worth more, since it is no longer sold or serviced by Amazon, btw), I came across something that said it would soon be a major motion picture by Steven Spielberg.
I raised an eyebrow. The night after that, I saw the new Star Wars with my dad. It's a good movie. You should watch it.
Back to my point: I saw the trailer for Ready Player One, and it was STUNNING.

I have started this discussion, hoping some will participate in commenting their remarks on what they know about it.
Brief trailer spoilers: It has the DeLorean from Back to the Future, characters from OverWatch, stuff from TRON... the Iron Giant at the end was like a cherry-on-top.
I want to know what the... previous generation of gamers, if you will... thinks about how Spielberg has handled the massive load of games in this The Maze-esque feature. What did he do right? How did he go wrong? Qualifiers, etc..

Don’t even bother reading Armada.

Okay, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high, considering how Spielberg girls are often portrayed.
Think of the Back To The Future trilogy, the many Indiana Jones movies, Jaws, the Jurassic Park movies he worked on, the Gremlins movies, Catch Me If You Can, Super 8, The Goonies, etc.. Hopefully, though, the portrayal of... their style of geekiness... is more on-par with your expectations. Given, some of these names are things he produced, but some he also directed. I just find that the young women characters are almost stereotyped and objectified, but not in an demeaning way per se, just not a truthful depiction, either.
Can't say much about his more recent works... Jurassic World didn't use the stereotypical Spielberg girl as much... for part of it...

Undercards. It's like Hearthstone, but everything is UnderTale.
Also, Pokémon Showdown! battle simulator. It's pretty fun.

Have you checked out Interstellar Retribution?
It's gonna sound like "Papyrus Disbelief" because that is just a clip from the much longer original.

My original XBox died. Something wrong with the fan, but we thought it was the power supply. We took it apart and ordered a new one. It was identical (even the result was; it helped naught). In the meantime, my mother immediately ordered a new XBox (same model). The disc drive was finicky, so we held onto it and found a place that has two more XBoxes of the same model. The first one read discs upon insertion, but made a high pitched ringing noise. We exchanged it for the other one, which has a Samsung disc drive (newer, better) that sometimes must be inserted twice before it accepts the disc and doesn't eject it back out of the drive. No noises, though, and while I was exchanging it, I got NFSUg2 and started playing it, getting sick stats on a Lancer Evo, and then I wanted more so I looked up cheats, spotted some interesting TCRF-worthy material, and then remembered this place. Hello again!

Oh my god, is that really the etymology? Is it called Hotmail because it had a HTML client? My mind is blown.

Same. I thought it was that they were just capitalizing consonants and lowercasing vowels, like in MeGaLoVaNia. MGLVN. The results pointed me towards the "4chan archive" @ boards.fireden.net
The website has apparently hopped to and fro in past years.

3DTuning.com has apparently been up since 1998, and has never ceased to update. Right now it is rather impressive, but still needs dozens of updates. There was a time when they released 5 models a week, doing very little to them. Now it's more like 2 or 3 models once or twice a month, and at least 1 has a huge layout of options. There was a phase when they were going to update a bunch of past models, and then they instead just kept adding new ones. Now there's this division between vehicles and truck(s), and a car voting system is also in place. Just recently, they added an ad-blocker detector. There is also an update for adblock plus, which removes the ability to only block certain ads (instead its all ads or only ones that block the page). I used this tool to block the squid that captures turf before it's cool.

Posted on 09-20-18 08:25:56 PM, in What're you playing right now? Link
Guild Wars 2: Path of Free (playing without paying).
It's kinda complicated. Maybe a little too complicated. I only get 2 character slots, and I want to make more, but I must pay 800 gems per slot. To obtain these gems, I must get TWO sets of 5,000 achievement points (5,000 points generates 400 gems). To get these points, I must do all manner of things in the game, and only the ones that are access-only-to-paying-users have any good value number of achievement points. The sad part is it's got a REALLY good character creation system, which is pretty much the whole reason I got it (I operate it from an external hard drive because the game files are 40.43 GB, occupied mostly by one .dat file, which I cannot edit to mess with the game because I only have 8GB of RAM). This is why I quit using Steam. I cannot befriend anybody until I pay, I cannot send messages until I pay, I cannot comment on anything in the forums until I pay, I cannot access certain locations until I pay, I cannot buy certain weapons until I pay, I cannot earn sufficient points of any type until I pay, and if I did pay, it would automatically open up enough features that THE BENEFITS OF PAYING BECOME MOOT (except the gameplay experience).
Thankfully, you don't have to pay to join a guild, or else the goals would be unattainable and defeat the purpose of free gameplay entirely (a scent so strong you can almost taste it, but you can't sample it unless you pay... except then you get the whole meal). This is why full-version trial periods exist WITH basic free versions. All I can say is I am glad there is freedom in this game and I have no time limit, especially since I AM IN COLLEGE and have schoolwork to keep me otherwise busy, which makes me wish there was an idle skill-building feature.
I can say there are like ZERO bugs and ZERO lag, so that's a plus-plus.
If they could change one thing, I want the characters I interact with to speak their full dialogue rather than making me read it. I AM AN AUDITORY LEARNER. There are NPCs galore that you can't do anything more than GREET, but if you are present at the right time, they'll have LONG conversations that really don't have a great impact on the story. SO WHY NOT THE ONES THAT DO HAVE STORY IMPACT?
Detailed enough, Xkeeper?
