Hey, I recently bought this little oddity on eBay and I thought this might interest you guys here. It is a copy of the infamous CD-I game Link: The Faces of Evil but it has a stamp on it that says it's for "Demonstration Only" and that it's "Not for Retail".

Unfortunately, I don't have a CD-I console to try it out, and I'm very new to creating playable ROMs of discs so I can't test it out. I've managed to burn the disc into a 500MB .iso file but I can't get it to run on an emulator. As far as I know, it's very much just the raw files.
I'd be happy to share the .iso file if it would be useful to anyone, but I'm not sure where the best place to upload it is. Additionally, if anyone has a guide to making playable ROMs from CD-I discs I'd be very grateful. |

I've been using CDIEMU 0.5.3 to attempt to run it. I've tried to burn a couple other game to test (Pinball and Escape from CyberCity) but no luck with either of those.
The message I get is this.
"Cannot open FILE DIRECTORY.
The file may not exist of its format is not supported."
I'll look into MESS and see if I can get it to work, thanks. |

I hadn't seen that, but I wouldn't really mind if this is the case, it's still worth exploring and I got it cheap. I know this version of the game is rarer than normal however because there aren't any on eBay from what I can see. |
