I'm not at home right now but I just could not let this GEM be passed up.

Wow, all I can say is I knew it. This game...from the beginning, I knew this is how it would end up...

Acmlm, your text warping problems is because Kawa has implimented text boxes as one gigantic image of the original text box, as opposed to making it tile based like the real game does. As a result the edge of the box clips text. His text engine is also entirely different than the games and handled differently and also uses ASCII no less. It's not only unprofessional but it shows he was lazy and didn't care to bother reverse engineering the original text engine (which in comparison to the rest of the stuff should not have been as difficult).

The walking through walls fiasco is also because Kawa decided to implement maps wrong! Instead of following the original map engine he made it so property bytes were pre-assigned per tileset and obviously failed to use his own engine correctly 8D in forgetting to assign the solidity state to the tile, ALL of those tiles are walk-throughable as opposed to say ONE OR TWO you MIGHT forget having to do it by hand. And had he used the correct engine, he would have been required to set up tile solidity on a per-use basis and most likely would NOT have run in to this issue. He also made the engine 110% incompatible with pre-existing maps as a result of this, due to them containing "extra data" for the property values! So if you have a hack in the works, you might as well kiss your map progress goodbye and be prepared to make them from scratch 8D

The battles....wow, the graphics might look kind of pretty but they are obviously not handled like in the game (as all the glitches and...everything else shows). Also breaking conventions with Lowercase Names which causes compatibility issues with previous games, the WHOLE POINT of this project from the beginning was to be accurate...guess we strayed pretty far away from that huh 8D

If I can think of any other explanation as to why this was NOT worth all the drama that went on over this I'll be sure to contribute it 8D honestly, I hope you guys are happy.

That's the thing though, it would even if he doesn't realize it. Pokemon are incredibly sensitive peices of data that are coded JUST so, and if ever so slightly off, they will be detected as fakes by console games and tournament software alike. His conversion process, while in theory would work, will still be modifying the name of the Pokemon. In a best case scenario he adds no code and the names go from upper to lower, in a worst case he actually tries to code a converter which changes the name that wont match with the Pokemon's hash and everything goes poof! Trust me, I'm not just getting mad over every little detail. There's methods to my madness, I assure you ._. But if you feel my post would be more credible without this line I'd gladly remove it for the sake of the rest of my post having its merrits.

It probably shouldn't save much room in memory and even if it did, when have you really experienced any serious lag in the Pokemon games? As you said, it is much more powerful and adds a more superior range of possibilities for uniqueness in tilesets... so in reality its kind of a more LIMITED engine we have, not to mention people now have to set up their entire tileset to have properties for each tile, as opposed to just setting them up as they need to. So yes, you were right

IT'S NOT A DEFECT D:

Edit: I found an incredibly old build of the source before Kawa was able to ruin it TOO badly. I might just work off this and make a REAL OP with Keitaro again (and I suppose any other interested parties, the more the merrier), the way it was supposed to be, ha HA! Accurate, Kawa-free and glitch free.

My favorite game of all time is still Tokimeki Memorial - Forever with You. I stand by my belief that Konami should translate this series so the rest of the world can enjoy what this fun and addictive series has to offer. Tokimeki Girl's Side was pretty fun too but not my favorite in the series...the original to me is still just the best.

I'm also a total freak for old-school Tetris. It's so simple and addictive.
